This temple has changed my life. I have earned my 500 hour training through their program and have been happily teaching for over 20 years. Their program is comprehensive with careful thought to every detail. Their teachers are top notch. I am so lucky to have bumped into this program and these people. :)

The most special place. I found The Temple of Kriya Yoga in 2018 through an incredible teacher. I completed the 200-hour teacher training, numerous workshops, yoga classes and spiritual lectures. I discovered a deeper connection to my true self. The hatha yoga practice focuses on alignment and being present. It has helped me manage years of chronic pain - more so then any doctor, physical therapist or medication. It has helped my mental health as well. I found not only a spiritual practice and amazing teachers, but a loving community. Cannot recommend enough! So excited for the new location to open and spread this joy! Shanti.

I entered the meditation on Sundays, while I was a teenager. I was amazed at the truth that meditation excels karmic experience consciously in mind my own heart! Goswami Kriyananda answered the phone when I wanted him to calculate the exact date I got pregnant and got back to me. I've listened to him read my spiritual astrology chart. Again it was within my own power (with discipline) to learn to love myself and grow. It is beautiful to assert my rights and give myself a book and read. There is a love for philosophy with my own people here. Christians are afraid of mysticism. Accept everything is created by God. Even wisdom. Self-reliance has to be expanded as part of service to God. PROTECT YOURSELF FROM YOUR OWN INNOCENCE. I have bought Esoteric Astrology and The Art of Attaining Conscious Immortality which anybody can do. Philosophy does not contradict Christianity but enhances the adult ability to overlook the 'not knowing' faith of Christians. Astrology teaches we are all connected. As an individual realizes self and grows, so everyone with that aspect is uplifted! I recognize the Holy Spirit and grow in my love for Jesus Christ, and say the blood of Jesus Christ on Golgatha is a part of my life. Faith becomes a living experience. Compare all sources and search for the same basic truth-good exercise. God comes from good scared somebody in a review in yelp? God had/has many names. Think! Just yesterday when complaining about a neighbor I thought my mind whispered it'll become easier soon-I felt 'oh', surrendering to God what is His, and I won't grow as deeply without the conflict. I need to practice, practice, practice I am one in the body, mind, spirit of Christ (so yoga calls it Christ consciousness that Jesus was One in the Trinity). There is everything whole about yoga. I avoid people in trouble. They need to be brought to justice and understand consequences of being self-absorbed and selfish. I am not a doormat. Let me glow in that wisdom. 2020 They are temporarily at Moksha Yoga Center, at 2528 W. Armitage Avenue

I entered the meditation on Sundays, while I was a teenager. I was amazed at how straight-forward the truth is. Goswami Kriyananda answered the phone, and I asked if he could calculate the exact date I got pregnant and get back to me. I've listened to him read my spiritual astrology chart. Again it was within my own power (with discipline) to learn to love myself and grow. Christians are afraid of mysticism?! There has never been divination with astrology. It is scientific-math-timing. Accept everything is created by God. Even wisdom. Protect yourself from your own innocence. Philosophy does not contradict Christianity but enhances the adult ability to overlook the 'not knowing' of faith. Astrology teaches we are all connected too. As an individual realizes self and grows, so everyone with that aspect is uplifted! I recognize the Holy Spirit and grow in my love for Jesus Christ. Faith is the spiritual path of all of us. The word God being contracted of good is not meant to frighten. God had/has many names. Think! Just yesterday when complaining about a neighbor I thought my mind whispered it'll become easier soon-I felt 'oh no', I won't grow as deeply without the conflict. I need to practice I am one in the body, mind, spirit of Christ (so yoga calls it Christ consciousness). There is everything whole about yoga. Kriyanda was like a father to me. He was a teacher. He presented balanced information and gave life changing lessons that I am happy to pass on to those interested. He contributed a lot to help balance my life and keep it that way. I miss him dearly.

It's one of the most wonderful buildings a yogi could hope for. It has an irreplaceably beautiful spiritual ambiance. As soon as you enter the gates in the spring and smell the lavender you know you have arrived at a peaceful destination. From top to bottom this building was made for the Temple of Kriya Yoga. The upstairs Chapel or Cloud room has a hand-painted blue sky and clouds mural across the entire walls and ceiling of the room, it's perfectly magical. The Chapel is large enough for yoga, meditation, or any number of events and purposes. The first floor is where the reception area, coatroom, and a large lovely sunlit sitting room, with a bookstore full of items, and new and used books. They even have a free donation library with many interesting selections. The store has a number of spiritual items, incense, CD's, spiritually oriented jewelry, and many other interesting things for sale. Downstairs from the first floor is where most of the action is. Down the stairs to your left, they have an amazing large yoga room. It's a large and beautiful cedar room. There is hand painted Norwegian Rosemailing on the wood beams. The room is the perfect size for a Yoga or meditation class. They have a very knowledgable teaching staff, educated from the Temple of Kriya Yoga, which offers very comprehensive certification courses in Yoga. If you take a right from the stairs, you'll see an amazing cafe area. The cafe has a terrific tea bar and booth style tables. The cafe is a lovely meeting place where students, yogis, teachers, swamis, and curious visitors often gather for snacks and tea between events, and lectures. That room is one of the coolest features of the building. Lastly, there is the main room for Sunday meditations and lectures, and other large workshops and events. The main room the largest room in the building and quite impressively angled for a good view of the platformed speaking area from all seats. All around the room are spiritual artifacts, like Hindu deities, a large gong, candles and usually, there are flowers. The people at the temple are wonderful, the swamis are always interesting, and kindness is the currency that flows in this marvelous Temple. The building is an architectural feat from an amazing era. The Temple exudes positive potential, and if you go there, it will surely delight you with charm and wisdom too.

This place changed my life radically for the better. A few years back I went through their seminary program, which you can take no matter where you live. A massive download of wisdom and positivity. I will never be the same person and for that I thank them, and Kriyananda, and all of the heroic, selfless people that make that place keep ticking today. What a great place and great bunch of human beings.

The Temple of Kriya Yoga is an acquired taste and not everyone is ready for its magic. If you are looking for a vigorous workout for your body, this will not suit you. If you are looking for a mainstream yoga studio with shiny floors, a steam room and interval training on Friday mornings, this may not be your cup of tea. This place is a spiritual mecca...and I'm not kidding. Nothing fancy, but it's beautiful and rich in its own way. You go here to find your soul, to find out who you are and to start taking that hard look in the mirror to see how you contribute to your own darn misery. Hatha Yoga here is authentic and stays true to the ancient teachings but it's the workshops, meditation classes and spiritual teachings that are the real gem. Sign-up for a home study class and be transformed. Kriyananda's teachings are the best of Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, The Secret and the best self-help book you've ever read! When you are ready, check it out.

I cannot imagine my life without the Temple of Kriya Yoga and the teachings of its founder Goswami Kriyananda. If you are struggling to find happiness in a sad world, I recommend you you listen to some of Kriyananda’s lectures and meditations. Perhaps his teaching will affect your life as it has mine.
