This location never answer the phone in any department. You can check any status of products availability.

It has the essentials and is conveniently located for those in the downtown Hyde Park area. However, because of its small size, there are fewer items than most Targets have. It feels like this location is meant for college shoppers (which makes sense considering its location). But don’t expect the same breadth of inventory or available parking as most other locations.

Jay was very helpful in finding what I wanted! There was some hiccups at checkout with Elaya but all was resolved by Sam the manager.

They too have made the unfortunate decision to put their products behind plate glass and make customers wait before an employee comes and unlocks basic household items. I’m not interested in being made to feel like I’m in remedial school each time I buy tampons or laundry detergent. If this is what all Hyde park stores are doing I’ll be ordering my products on Amazon.

One of the staff who was stocking the produce section today had an attitude toward CUSTOMERS who were trying to shop. Unfortunately Target thinks it’s a great idea for workers to stock shelves during prime shopping time on Sunday afternoon. We are in their way and they are in our way! With that being said it still doesn’t make it acceptable for this particular young lady to make rude remarks under her mask as if we can’t hear her. She told me I was “still in her way” and told another customer who asked about yogurt “it’s not that hard”. I understand retail is frustrating but please don’t be rude to customers who are not rude to you.

I had to return merchandise that was damaged. I was happy and surprised and how fast the customer service agent was able to handle my return and inform me that it credited back to my card.

The new security guard always follow me and my son we don’t never come in with bags or anything and we always shop $100 or more yesterday we came in my son wanted to go to the bathroom First before shopping security was literally following him an waiting for him to come out meanwhile, someone came in with a book bag and a hood on walk to the back and suspiciously walked right out the front door 2 minutes later as he watching us shop Made me not want to purchase my items it’s already when you do the two hours or less it’s never ready and they email you for half an order then you have to wait for the rest too many employees on the floor putting up stuff when they should be done early morning or late night when the store is closed and it’s always 4 to 5 people begging you before you even get in the store or trying to sell you stuff outside of the store

Basic cleaning supplies are under lock & key. You can't get to them. In theory, a staff member will bring the cleaning supplies you want to the front desk. But it doesn't work. It's completely dysfunctional. And if you have medical problems, and you're standing there in lots of pain, you might start to get a bit annoyed after a while, and that's when security comes up, puts on a big macho act like they're going to beat you up, and then calls the police, and now tons of police cars are headed towards Target on 53rd St. because some guy wanted to buy some laundry detergent & bleach. If I were black, maybe I would have been shot by the police for trying to buy laundry detergent & bleach at Target. Anyway, you can't even buy laundry detergent & bleach at Target with so-called "white privilege".
