This Target has gotten busy since the Chatham and Morgan park Target's closed in 2019. This is the only Target on the South Side. And the Toys Selection is quite small.

Tell you to hold them hang up. This target should have never been placed here, just gentrifying the south side with nothing to offer.

Neighborhood target is the best. A quick stop to pick up a few grocery items that are always in stock. No long lines, friendly staff and a parking spot right out front. I even had time to stop for a Grande Frappe on the way out.

Terrible delivery experience. Ordered several drink items (24-pk water, 12-pk sodas) for a professional event, and specified delivery time at 4-5pm. At 4pm, while I was driving to the event venue, I got a message that there was a delay to 6-7pm. As soon as I got to the venue, I called the provided number of the delivery partner, Shipt. I was told that there was no "Shopper" being assiged to do the shopping for the order, but it got resolved and someone would be doing the shopping, so I should expect delivery to be soon. By 5:40pm, I still did not hear from any Shopper. So I called the Shipt number again, and this time, they told that no Shopper had picked up the order yet (and I was like - what? I was told before 5pm that some Shopper would be taking care of the order). Then I was told my order now got "Priority delivery". However, as soon as I hung up the phone (close to 6pm), I got another text message notifying me that the order would be further delayed to 7-8pm. That was totally UNACCEPTABLE!!!
My question is that: *IF* the delivery is having issues of not being able to find any Shopper to do the shopping for the order, then DO NOT ACCEPT THE ORDER, or, simply CLOSE DOWN THE DELIVERY OPTION for online order. Target and Shipt are terrible at managing this and had totally disrupted our professional meeting plan that evening. I ended up cancelling the order altogether. NEVER would I order any delivery from Target/Shipt.

SMALL STORE..mostly household essentials and a basic grocery selection. Hardly any workers on the floor and you can forget about getting someone to actually answer calls. Bought an item here that didn’t work out if the pack. Still haven’t been able to reach anyone about a return/exchange.

This location never answer the phone in any department. You can check any status of products availability.

It has the essentials and is conveniently located for those in the downtown Hyde Park area. However, because of its small size, there are fewer items than most Targets have. It feels like this location is meant for college shoppers (which makes sense considering its location). But don’t expect the same breadth of inventory or available parking as most other locations.
