I wanted to get my bracelet adjusted on my Seiko. They didn’t charge me and told me to come back next time I was interested in buying a watch. The teams very passionate about watches and I enjoyed talking to them. They answered some questions I had, I will definitely be back for my next watch

While on a recent business trip to Chicago, I popped into Sydel & Sydel Jewlery to see their watches. For about twenty minutes, Jonathan and his associates gave me close attention, I was able to try on multiple time pieces, and we had a very nice discussion. I have to note that Jonathan KNOWS his craft - his intimate knowledge of each of the pieces, the movements as well as their nicknames, was impressive. I left without purchasing, but as I reflect on my time in their store, I'm left with a sincere sense of excellent customer engagement, and when I'm ready to make my purchase, I'm calling Jonathan to see if he has something in stock that catches my eye. Thank you Sydel & Sydel, great experience - this is what it's all about.

Husband and his family have been long-time clients of Sydel & Sydel. When he proposed, he got the perfect engagement ring for me and for a fair price! When it came time to get wedding bands, Jonathan helped me find a super cool and unique wedding band for my husband, and a perfect band to compliment my engagement ring! Fast forward several years!! My engagement ring had taken a beating, as we moved to an off-grid property in Northern California. I tried to mitigate damage whenever possible, but life happens! When it came time to have it repaired, I knew I couldn't trust anyone else but Sydel & Sydel with my rings restoration. And as always, they did NOT disappoint!! My ring looks brand new, and I couldn't be happier with the job Jennifer did, their service, and prompt secure shipment back of my most prized possession! Thank you guys, you're truly the best!!

On a recent visit to Chicago, I stopped in to drop off my Nomos Orion for service, never expecting to walk out with something new. Jonathan was immediately cordial and personable with no pretension at all. The team was knowledgable and clearly passionate about their craft. As someone who also works in a multi-generational family business, the customer care and attention to detail is immediately noticeable and this is exactly the kind of business I wish to support. I will enjoy my new Grand Seiko for years to come. Highly recommend Sydel & Sydel and I hope to be back soon. Best wishes.

I really appreciate Sydel & Sydel. I have been to their store a few times and purchased a Seiko from them a couple months back- shoutout SPB121.The reason I feel compelled to write this review, is that the folks working here (as far as I can tell, the owner and a saleswoman) are great, and treat you well regardless if you're looking to spend $500 or $50,000. There aren't many places you can pop in to just look at entry level pieces, and have the owner get to know you and show you some of your "grail" pieces.That sort of thing earns a customer for life. While they may not carry every watch that ends up in my collection, I'll buy a watch from them whenever I can- including that Skyflake someday soon.

I can't say enough good things about our experience working with Sydel & Sydel Jewelry. My (now) husband started working with them on purchasing my engagement ring in 2021 and the team was super helpful with the process as he had no idea what he was doing at first lol. We worked with Jennifer Hamburg for the design and purchase of both my engagement ring as well as both of our wedding bands. The rings are beautiful, and Jennifer actually went out of her way to drop off my ring after being sized so I didn't have to travel downtown (we live in Logan Square). We really appreciated Jennifer and the rest of the team at Sydel & Sydel going above and beyond for us. If you're in the market for any piece of jewelry, you won't be disappointed with the service and quality products at Sydel & Sydel. This is a family business, and you truly feel like you're being treated like family working with this group. Thank you again!

Jonathan is insanely knowledgeable and passionate about watches and has a selection of carefully curated pieces hard to find anywhere else. Would highly recommend this shop for collectors, enthusiasts, and anyone passionate about horology.

I’ve bought two watches from Jonathan. My last purchase was a Nomos Metro Power Reserve (ref. 1101), and while I had to wait a while for it, once it came in Jonathan gave me the call. Love the watch. Jonathan knows his stuff, and his customer service is awesome. Excellent people, they remember your name if you’re a regular, and aren’t pretentious in the least to newbies and budding enthusiasts. Quite different than the other Nomos AD in the area.

What a store, what lovely staff. I popped in today to scratch an itch to see some of the incredible range of indie watch brands stocked by Sydel & Sydel, and was humoured for the best part of an hour by Jonathon as we checked out watches by Greubel Forsey, Groenfeld, Laurent Ferrier et al. shared watch stories and I learned a great deal.Couldn’t recommend this store highly enough to anyone, and am sure I’ll be pack to make a purchase when the time comes.

Popped in for a battery change to a watch and was very grateful that they took care of it before I leave for vacation. The staff is very friendly and polite. I really appreciate the great service!
