Stale! Entire family had severe food possession. The frozen fish has been thawed and re frozen many times.

The owner is dishonest and rude. My actual rating is 0. I found the following issues:Firstly, I must express my dissatisfaction with the quality of the products I purchased. I bought a small amount of beef, and I observed the owner weighing a portion from a single chunk in front of me. While I went for other items, the meat was cut into stew-sized pieces. However, upon cooking, it became evident that some pieces were fresh, while others appeared pale and, frankly, not fresh.Secondly, I noticed that the sweets, specifically the roshogolla, lacked both manufacturing and expiration dates. Despite assurances of their freshness, the taste was peculiar and not indicative of a fresh product.Lastly, I purchased Hilsha which they clearly mentioned in the packet as Hilsha from Chadpur, Bangladesh, known for its premium taste and aromatic quality. However, upon cooking, there was a noticeable absence of aroma, and the fish turned out to be tasteless. Comparatively, Hilsha purchased from Indian and Mayanmer stores proved to be more flavorful, despite not being marketed as Chadpuri Hilsha.I called them about those issues asking for explanation but the owner was talking very rudely and told me that he has been in the business for years, he is not responsible for the quality and he told me that I should have checked the items before leaving the shop. He added, if he is dishonest, GOD will give him the punishment.

If you are Bengali from - either Kolkata, or Bangladesh - you would love to see the collection of frozen fishes, vegetables, or some typical spice mix, quintessential to Bengali kitchen. I found some good ‘Daler bori’, and Bangladeshi frozen food and sweets. They have a good meat section too.

This store offers a decent range of Bangladeshi frozen fish. Despite what the name might suggest, the store doesn’t sell fresh fish. They also have halal beef, goat, and chicken. Other food items include Bangladeshi spices, rice, chips, biscuits, pickles, desserts, and cooking utensils.Although I was skeptical about the store owner/manager based on the previous reviews, my experience so far has been great. I’m not sure if the owner has changed in recent years. The few times I’ve been to the store, the owner has been pretty helpful. I have been able to pre-order and pick up orders without issue.Something has NOT changed, though— the store is not clean; the floor is visibly dirty, and God forbid you need to use the restroom.You can park right in front of the store, which is excellent, especially since it’s a convenience few other stores on Devon Street offer. Don’t leave your car there and go to other shops, though— it will get towed.The prices are similar to other ethnic shops in the area, not great, not terrible.For Bangladeshi groceries, this store is a great option. However, if you just want to buy fresh halal meat, there are better options on Devon Street with a broader selection of meat cuts.

Love to see them keeping some Bangladeshi items. We need more store who can serve Bangladesh community. I went there from 200 miles away but did not find much variety. Still these collections exited me. New York people are getting much better than this. But I found special yogurt from Bangladesh.

A good collection of Bangladeshi products. We bought Halal meat numerous times from there. However, the price of fish and halal meat seems to me a little bit expensive.

yes, I agree... I had the same experience, Don't park in this parking lot either. If you park here and don't go to this shop - or one of the shops in the strip mall - they will call the tow truck on you.The owner here called and had my car towed. Then when asking if he what happened to my car, he pushed me out of the store and pointed at the towing sign.. we will never shop at this place every again ..they have no respect for their customers .. Sad
