We went with them because the broker we had worked with previously was with them. My broker and his team was great. But after the fact customer service from Summit is absolutely terrible. We have a tax exemption and every single year they seem to forget this and try to hike up our mortgage payment. When I try to resolve this, they talk down to us and never get back to us. I will never ever ever use this company for future real estate lending. As soon as it’s viable I’ll be refinancing with a different lender.

Not sure where to start so this is in no special order: Mike Black is very responsive throughout the process. I know many claim to be but Mike actually is. My wife has a rule of 3 for all major decisions so when it came to finding our loan officer it was no different. We were transparent from the beginning with all of them and everyone else immediately stopped/cooled off on responding to our queries. Mike was always there and that was huge.He would patiently answer our questions throughout the whole process. He was informative and we learned a lot. Also he made solid recommendations while at the same time REALLY listening to our needs. Most of the time I feel like people in their respective industries push really hard on what they want and the whole time we felt like Mike was really paying attention, making suggestions, and making adjustments. I have full confidence that he was working in our best interest all throughout and that puts him in the highest tier of professionals I have worked with across several industries over the last few years.Kari Reed was very timely, friendly, and available as well for questions and concerns. She made things really smooth. Stomi was also very helpful.What a team this was! Everyone seemed to work so well with each other and all were on the same page, working together, with us, to achieve a common goal. Summit Funding, with this team, is my first and only recommendation to all my friends and family looking to purchase or refinance.

Ryan Jewett at Summit Funding helped us finance our first home purchase and went above and beyond to ensure we were informed at every step and confident in our decisions. For any questions we had or uncertainty we felt, Ryan was patient and walked us through all of our options; he explained things in detail, providing several scenarios with data to back them up showing how our rates and payments would change. Ryan kept in close contact throughout our 45-day closing period, and at the closing table Ryan was there to ensure all the numbers were correct and we were taken care of. We will happily work with Ryan again when it comes time to refinance or buy our next home!

First time homebuyer here - We recently bought a home and used Summit Funding for our mortgage lender. We worked with Todd and his team. Todd did a wonderful job explaining everything to us and was very responsive whenever we had any questions. Mortgage rates are high but Todd was able to find a program that works for us. His team was also very responsive and helpful as well.Overall great experience.

We had a terrific experience with everyone we worked with on the Summit Funding team. Right from the start Mike Black was so kind and patient while he walked us through how the process was going to work and what to do / not do with our financial choices. Then, Michael Dufour was very generous with his time and wisdom. Michael always had time for the oddest calls or texts about any and all weird questions we had — his knowledge about loan financing is incredible! Once we were pre-approved and the offer was accepted, Kari Reed was the calm and helpful guide we needed to hold our hand through to closing.
