I had a wonderful time in the store on September 22nd, 2025, around noon to 1:00 p.m. Two young ladies assisted me and were knowledgeable about their inventory and promotions: I asked one of them if there were any sales I overlooked, and she took me right round the store and showed me a lot of cool stuff I had completely missed. I bought several more things based on her helpfulness.
The team worked well together and were easy to approach and ask for help and advice.
As a person who was trained to sell apparel on a sales floor, I recognize and admire good salesmanship, knowing when to give a nudge and knowing when to back off. These ladies have excellent selling and customer service techniques.
Walked out with three bras, 10 panties, and two darling sleep shirts. I love Soma and this was a great experience in the Chicago Water Tower location.
My advice is not about the store or personnel there--it's for the designers or buyers. It was a challenge to find bras to match the colors in the Embraceable lace briefs I bought. While the panty collection was current, the bras that match the colors in them had already gone on promotion and many had sold through. It would be nice to keep the panties and bras that go together stocked at the same time. It's only because of the expertise of those two women that we found some things that will work. But by and large all of the bras on the wall didn't really match what was happening on the panties table. Maybe a future floor set can address this.

I had a very disappointing experience with the manager, Tonya. During the fitting, she wrapped the measuring tape uncomfortably tight, making it difficult for me to breathe properly. Additionally, the store’s sizing options do not seem to accommodate petite body types. I hope Soma will consider being more inclusive of smaller frames in both service and sizing.

A wonderful experience. Tonya was so lovely and helpful. She had great recommendations. This is the type of customer service that should be applauded and awarded. The store itself had a pleasant layout, very clean and accessible by all.

I was there yesterday and JD was a tremendous help to me. I’ve never had a proper bra fitting and she helped me find just the right size for my size with a minimizer to help. She is such a blessing and so kind! Thank you! 😊

I told them I was a 32 E and they insisted my size didn’t exist even though the bra I was wearing had that size on the label. I understand they are trying to make a sale but they don’t need to treat me like I’m an idiot and squeeze me into triple D’s saying it fits right when it doesn’t. Soma needs to carry E and F sizes.

I was gifted a pajama set that was unfortunately the wrong size. I went in to exchange it and a nice young woman was helping me do so. Her ?manager then approached and forbid the exchange because I didn’t have a gift receipt. She made things so unnecessarily difficult and was quite rude and impatient with both me and her employee. I will not be returning.

My wife and I were very well received in this store. She was looking for specific underwear and she found what she was looking for thanks to the two hostesses present. Rarely kind and taking the time to help her with her choices and sizes, they were great!
Located in the mall, it's easy to find this store. I recommend it.

I went to exchanging bras that I bought online and didn’t fit me. The lady at the store was very nice and helpful, made sure I was completely satisfied and comfortable with my new bras. Recommended size on line was very off from my the one that actually fit me perfectly after been measured and fitted by the expert. Would recommend to just go to the store and you will be happier with your purchase. Excellent costumer service!

I came in to shop for bras about two weeks ago. I found the employees working and asked for help. One measured me, recommended bra styles, and told me if I spent $125, I could receive $40 off. I decided to buy two of the bras at $68 a piece because of the promo.When she rung me up, she only gave me $20 off $80. I did not notice until after I paid and left, so I came back. When I asked about it, she said that bras do not qualify for $40 off $125. I told her it was misleading to tell me about this promo if bras do not qualify, and left, but kept the bras because I did like them. However, on my way home, I went on the Soma website and learned the same exact bra qualifies for this promo, even with buy online pick up in store at this exact location.Either this store does not honor all promos, or this associate refused to give me the best deal possible.
