Great cars, good value, and great service. The only drawback was the $5 administrative fee per toll. In 2 days of driving I was charged twelve $5 administrative fees, amounting to $60 in administrative fees alone, not counting the actual tolls. Opt in for the $10 per day administrative fee in case you are going to hit several toll booths. Better yet, bring your own transponder. All else was great.

Had a very positive experience renting with Sixt! At the check-in counter, Sergio was a pleasure to work with. And at pick-up, when my car was missing its transponder, staff on hand were happy to quickly grab one for me. Drop-off was quick and easy! Would rent with them again.

Just when you think you are used to the poor service experience of car rentals and they are all the same...in comes Sixt!At Chicago's O'Hare airport they were amazing - professional, courteous, friendly - after an 8 hour flight it was quite welcome to experience the excellent service. I will be a loyal Sixt customer going forward!

Terrible!!! The car was in poor condition, the trunk would not latch until you closed it repeatedly, the dash touchscreen would not work with Android Auto, I was getting low tire pressure warnings, and there was NO ICE SCRAPER which I needed the next morning after the temperature dipped. When I got the invoice they had tacked on a $400 smoking charge and I DO NOT SMOKE and had no passengers. It took 3 phone calls to get that sorted out and they indicated it was as a goodwill gesture that they would credit it rather than correcting their billing error. Bottom-line I recommend you look elsewhere for your rental car needs and avoid renting from SIXT!

Renting from Sixt Chicago Ohare was a phenomenal experience. The entire process was a breeze from start to finish. The customer service exceeded my expectations, and the staff was not only friendly but also highly efficient.The rental options were diverse, and the vehicles were well-maintained and clean. SIXT is an awesome rental car company and I simply can’t say enough good things about them. The customer experience throughout the process (check in, car pick up) was superior. We picked up our vehicle at the ORD rental car building and it was seamless. Christina, our rental car agent, was delightful and expressed a genuine interest in our trip to Chicago. The folks working the lot were very friendly and helpful. I had never heard of SIXT before but I will definitely rent from them again. And our BMW 3 series rental car was immaculate and the current model year. Amazing! Love SIXT ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The easiest rental car process I have ever gone through. Very good prices. Vehicles are damage free and 100% clean. Agents are very professional and friendly. Will definitely rent with Sixt every time I travel

Well, there are two sides to the coin. We rented a car for a week, picking up in Stuttgart, Germany, and returning to Paris, France. The pickup experience was terrible, with all kinds of issues, and it delayed us by about 3 hours. However, we should give credit where credit is due; we wrote a very detailed and factual letter to the company, explained the terrible experience we had, asked for some form of compensation for the delay we experienced, and we were surprised to receive a reimbursement for more than what we had requested.I am a demanding customer, but stuff happens, and when a company recognizes their issues, and offer reasonable response to the issue, they have earned my respect.

DO NOT BOOK WITH SIXT. I didn't get the car I reserved since they didn't have that level in the airport. They gave me a minivan instead and seemed overly pushy on the insurance at the counter. Went out to get the rental and I didn't take pictures of the car before leaving the airport unfortunately. Returned with the vehicle the next day, did the walk through with the return person and they said you are good to go, no issues. Get an email saying there was a big scratch on the bumper and I have to pay for the repair. No response from Customer Service when emailing them several times for a response of some sort trying to figure out how that could be when they specifically told me it was fine. I'll never be renting from Sixt again!

First off renting a car here is easy, but it is far from the terminal. When returning your vehicle give yourself plenty of time or you will definitely miss your flight. Like a good two hours extra (Three elevators and a train). A BMW was the best deal I could see from Travelocity for $59. I asked for a receipt up front so I could see what I was going to pay. They have no printer at the counter so that took a while. When the agent tried to explain there is huge list of this and that and It was super confusing. In the end, $600 for three days. Bait and switch? probably not, but I did feel like I was meant to be confused with the receipt on purpose. The car itself was new and modern, and we had no problems.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! Oh why, oh why did I not yelp them first?! Booked a mid-sized SUV months in advance. Eight days out from my arrival date, when the airline changed details of my flight-- landing me three hours later than originally planned-- as a courtesy to Sixt I went online to update my pick-up ETA. When I did so, the booking automatically dropped my reservation down to a sedan. I immediately called customer service to get it fixed-- a sedan wasn't going to be a comfortable fit for our passengers. After waiting in the queue for nearly half an hour I was told no mid-sized SUVs were available. So... what? Sixt overbooks its inventory? If I had not updated my arrival time and just shown up three hours late, was I going to be surprised to discover no SUV had been reserved for me, after all?So now I've reserved an SUV with another company, and cancelled my Sixt reservation. More than a week out from my reservation date (not to mention this whole kerfuffle is their defect), and they've charged me more than $100 to cancel. TERRIBLE! Avoid.***Update:Sixt reached out to my Yelp review the same day and invited me to contact customer service (again). I emailed my story above and suggested the right thing to do-- since Sixt obviously wasn't going to uphold its end of the transaction when it came to reserving a vehicle in my selected category-- was to waive the cancellation fee. A customer service rep provided a swift response, politely reminding me of the terms I agreed to when I prepaid for my reservation (i.e., the $100+ cancellation fee), while also agreeing to waive the fee in this case. I have since received a full refund for our failed transaction.Kudos to the individuals at Sixt who are working hard to make a difference in the customer service department, and who made a good call in this case. After skimming other reviews, I figured I was screwed; so I was impressed with both the swiftness of their response as well as the outcome. It seems there are systemic issues their department is working against, and I hope Sixt will learn and improve upon the way they operate, and build a reputation for being reliable from start to finish.Upgrading review from "zero" stars to two.

OMG Do not use!!!!! This company is full of rude people and they will take your deposit and pocket it and pretend like you never made the deposit and charge you in full at the end. Then when you try to get your deposit back, they are rude and don't care. Won't even talk to you.If you use them, it's on you. Have fun losing money.

Sixt makes car rental very easy. Staff members are friendly and professional. During our of my rentals, I had an issue with a tire. I returned the vehicle and was out with a replacement in less than 10 minutes.. Bravo to the team...thank you Sixt for taking care of me...
