As a nanny this site is ok for looking for jobs until finding out parents are able to leave fake/false reviews under any profile after only a message is sent. Sittercity says they cannot remove a review and tells us to ask the parent nicely to remove it. Thats RIDICULOUS

Sitter City has been very professional~ Customer Service is friendly and readily responsive to questions and concerns~Families are well presented and caregivers have many options to express personality and creativity as well as opportunities to learn and share with others~ I recommend this business~

Sittercity is a great site with flexible babysitters. :)Their support staff was also quick to respond to my email when I forgot to turn off my subscription and needed assistance. I’d recommend this app if you’re looking for emergency babysitters in your area, or even regular babysitters. The app even allows for you to setup interviews with the babysitter and gives you the ability to post multiple jobs, if necessary. ^,^

If I could give 0 stars I would. Unprofessional people they do not respond if they do it’s 2-3 days later. If your not prompt returning a message chances are you will not be prompt to watch my child. The website is misleading and does not promise to do what it says it will do. Mostly scammer people on the site and the customer service is no help it is a waste of money do not waste your time.

This is my experience. I hope yours is different. When I researched online I happened upon SitterCity. I was excited to sign up and looking forward to having someone reliable babysit my 5-year-old son. There were a number of sitters with 4 or 5 out of 5 stars. I signed up and commenced to reaching out to them. Every single one replied to my message letting me know they were already working with other families. Those that reached out to me after this had no stars and no reviews. I contacted SitterCity to request a refund as the site, I feel, entices parents with pictures of sitters with high reviews but, when contacted, no availability. I do not feel comfortable allowing someone into my home to watch my child without others sharing their experience with them. One way to help parents is to add a tab so that if the sitter is already committed to another family this will be known before even reaching out to them. When I reached out to SitterCity she said since I had contacted the sitters I could not receive a refund. How would I know they were unavailable unless I contacted them? The representative also said background checks are available for all since I was concerned about those with no reviews entering my home and caring for my child. There are 600 people where I work. All of us had to pass a background check, but over the years a number of them have been terminated for stealing, fighting, etc. Since I was told a refund is not possible, I will consider this a $156 donation to SitterCity. Privacy Breach! If they have done this to me, an adult; what are they doing to your children? Whether this information was on my profile (as they say) or whether SC has sold it to make the site higher on rankings doesn't matter. They are unethical. Don't trust your children with this business.

I was unable to find care on this particular site. The sitters listed have outdated information on availability and pricing. Mostly the outdated info on availability was the kicker, a lot of sitters didn’t even respond to the messages. I paid the $40 fee to join, and really felt like that was money wasted. They don’t offer refunds or any other help other than “our site is a job posting board and we don’t control if there’s outdated info.” It was really unhelpful “customer service,” and I’d recommend just sticking to finding a sitter without paying a site to host a “job board.” Check Facebook and ask neighbors. You’re likely to actually get a better chance at finding someone reliable elsewhere. Would NOT recommend spending money on this.

We will NEVER, NEVER, EVER use Sittercity again. We have not ever been able to find help. Care.com has been excellent. Even more frustrating, they make it VERY difficult to cancel your membership. The website intentionally hides and makes it difficult to cancel your membership like many other businesses. Awful business practice.

I have been with Sittercity as a Nanny and Babysitter since 2014. I have had excellent experience with families. The best part about Sittercity is it's easy, fun, exciting and I get to meet so many children that I adore and still keep in touch with today. I Love Sittercity and feel it's an awesome way to become a part of a family to have a steady income and meet the best kiddies ever. Thank you Sittercity!

Support team was unprofessional and unreliable. The app and online login show different things and it was very confusing. After I closed my account they sent out an email to each family I had applied with stating they had removed my profile for 1 of 3 things which was not accurate and could destroy my stellar reputation. I closed my account based on the issues I had with the app and login page and the fact that I had found work. Poor poor business for someone looking for work.

Incredible customer service! I had accidentally kept my membership going even if I no longer needed the service and I had not been using it for several months. I emailed requesting cancellation and inquiring about a refund and the teen at Sittercity just processed the refund with no further questions asked, and immediately. Rarely do we experience this level of customer services don’t we? I shall also say that when I was using the service I found it very well designed and valuable!
