This is hands down the BEST bowling pro shop in Chicago! Simmons is extremely knowledgeable about the equipment he sells and is an expert in fitment. He works as a 1 man band so have to be patient when you arrive but he will always get the job done!

Extremely rude service. I went in, ready to spend money on lessons. The guy was downright hostile, with lots of snarky comments like, "Don't waste my time, I don't teach with a house ball," when other instructors have said a house ball is fine at my level. I was open to buying a ball, but I am not going to spend $300 when the owner acts like he wants me out of the store. I am perplexed by the glowing reviews online that got me there in the first place. I hate to "go there" but my real thought is that he is one to discriminate.

Wonderful experience. If it's not broken don't fix it should be the motto of Simmons pro shop. ? Mike is an absolute gem of bowl knowledge. If they dont have the exact ball you want they can order it. Everything is reasonably priced.

I purchased a package deal from Brian yesterday. The price, his knowledge and professionalism will keep me coming back.

I called to ask about pricing or a Purple Hammer with drilling and grips, and the guy I talked to was extremely rude to me. Here are some things he said to me:*Sigh* "Urethane or reactive?""You're not a pro. That ball is a waste of money for you. The NU Hammer (same price) would be better for you.""I'm 61, and if urethane was better, they wouldn't have started making reactive balls.""I bowl an average of 210-220. You should not buy that ball""I suggest you come in to the shop so we can talk more" (Apparently we can't talk or start the order over the phone)It sounds like this guy is knowledgeable, but learn how to talk to people. I already knew that ball wasn't perfect for me, but it sounds like fun to throw. I didn't need a whole lecture from this boomer.

My visit with Simmons Pro Shop was absolutely amazing. I just walk-in 6pm on Monday to see if he can fix the my cracked bowling ball, and he said it can't be fixed. He was finishing up another customer so I waited about 15-20 min, then he was kindly explaining all the options. He didn't mind offering used one that is way cheaper than the others on the shelves. Long story short, I got a good bowling ball that fits my hand perfect. I will definitely visit again for my boys bowling gear. Highly recommend his shop!

Brian was wonderful. He was accommodating for my high school child, my wife and myself when we came to pick out a ball for my daughter. He was very thorough in his explanation and recommendations of what he felt was a good ball for her. Easy sales attitude nothing pushed and he gave her many useful tips. My wife and I were amazed about his passion for bowling and how great his customer service skills were. He said the shop has been around for 60 years and it’s not surprise that it’s been around that long. I would definitely come back for any bowling needs. Prices were fair for what we received, very comparable to online. But here you can touch and feel and get advice about what ball is best.He is great with kids and my daughter is so excited about her new ball. Haven’t seen her this excited in a long time,

Brian is a no nonsense guy and knows what he’s talking about. Fair prices but be prepared to spend some time at the shop for a ball drilling

Brian is super helpful and very passionate about bowling. I had a ball that hadn't been serviced in years, and he explained what I could do to fine tune it. Will go back to Simmons for any fixes or for a new ball.
