I’ve been at country gas stations with pumps from the 1960s that still manage to get gas in at a faster rate than these pumps. Took me 15 minutes to fill my tank ?♂️.

I hate this gas station. Nothing ever works right here. The pumps look and behave like they’ve been through a war. Graffiti on everything. It’s not a pump station it’s a dump station.

The cashiers don’t check their milk and sold me expired milk. They have overcharged my brother and instead of refunding it they told him to grab a banana to makeup for it. They have assumed that I would pay with EBT when I have shopped there multiple times and used Apple Pay

This place is horrible!!!! Someone charges $11.00 to my debit card every month and I've been calling they're corporate phone 888-651-5056 to resolve it but I never receive a phone call back! I visited this location one freakin time in desperation. My visit was back in 2020 when I made a purchase. However, my debit card is charged monthly. I contacted my credit union and received a new card. Fast forward there is still an ACH credit of $11.00 being withdrawn from this establishment monthly. I have no idea how they're doing it. I contacted my credit union and they're not much better, they told me to contact the merchant first and then they'll attempt to assist me. Well, I will also be changing credit unions as soon as all recent charges are caught up and cleared. Customer Service EVERYWHERE is almost IMPOSSIBLE! I will return later with a review on my Credit Union.

My husband went to this gas station to buy he’s tickets for the Mega millions, the night time employee charged him $30 for he’s tickets but before leaving my husband checked he’s numbers and noticed that there was a mistake both of he’s tickets were the same exact numbers he then approach the counter again to let the employee know he’d made a mistake. Instead the employee blame my husband for the mistake once my husband showed him the sheets he filled and they were both different he then realized he’s mistake but not only that he wanted to charge my husband another $15 for the correct numbers, my husband told him that he was not going to pay for the employees mistake…then it seemed like the employee took one of the double ticket and was hiding it away..my husband asked why was he keeping the ticket and the employee said he needed to sell it because he’s box would be short $15 but we didn’t feel comfortable with someone else buying the same ticket with the numbers we personally had played, my husband asked for the double ticket ripped it off and the employee start yelling and cursing him out and to never come back!! The way he treated him wasn’t acceptable in any type of way because this was the employee’s mistake to begin with and there where other people to witness the situation!!! The customer service is horrible, I was told that a manager/owner would be there in the morning…came back with my husband to speak to him and the manager never came out…we just got an apology and a bye…this is not the way to treat anyone!

You can read below the glowing review I wrote about this convenience store five days ago. I regret that - because of a very terrible interaction I just had with that same man Kahn – I need to rescind that review and dramatically downgrade my rating of this store. This makes me especially unhappy because I am trying to get an apartment just a block away from the store - and was very happy to view it as a valuable resource. Now I no longer can.A few minutes ago, I went into the store and showed Khan the can of starter fluid I bought in their store three days ago – demonstrating that under the cap, there is no nozzle and it is not usable.Khan did not dispute whether I had bought it from his store - he remembered selling it to me three days ago.He said to me, “You bought that three days ago. Why did you not bring it back the next day.““Because I had some left in my old can. It was only yesterday that I discovered that this was a defective product.“Kahn said coldly, “You should’ve brought it back the next day. I’m not taking it back.“Struggling to maintain my composure and not say many angry things that I was close to saying, I simply said “My car is broken down in the parking lot across the street. Without the starter fluid, I can’t get it to start. You sold it to me. It is defective. I expect you to replace it.“Kahn ignored me.“I told you about that wonderful review I wrote about your store and about you the other day. Don’t make me write a bad one.”Kahn walked away and ignored me.I had been saying that Khan was the exception to the rule of rude Middle Eastern shopkeepers. I’m afraid he has turned out now to be true to form. I don’t know what it is about that culture, but it is only an exceptional Middle Eastern person who turns out to have any kind of customer skills. Please ignore the rest of this now-obsolete earlier review.Even if I do end up living a block away from the store, I will never patronize it again.have written, re. other convenience stores, that Latino cashiers tend to be a lot more friendly than Middle Eastern cashiers. The use of the words “tend to be” is meant to indicate that this is a “databased generalization” - and not a stereotype that should be applied to all individuals. The “data” here are my many interactions with staff in these establishments. But I continually am getting my comeuppance about my ongoing tendency to stereotype Indian, Pakistani and now Bangladeshi cashiers. Two days ago, I had a magnificent encounter with a guy named Mario, an Indian cashier in a Mobile Station in Lincolnwood. My most stereotype-shattering store is the Shell station right near where I tend to park my camper van – at Touhy Ave. where it dead-ends at Lake Michigan, next to Loyola Beach in Rogers Park.Over the last two weeks, every encounter I have had with staff in this store has been at least “just fine”.And last night I dealt with a guy who goes by the name of Khan and says he hails from Bangladesh, that he is “Bangladeshi”.I would love to do some research about Bangladesh, to find out if there is something about that particular culture that makes people so sweet and friendly and humble and kind. This guy sure is all of that.I am considering taking an apartment just a block away from this Shell station. The fact that they are open 24 hours would, for me, be a big plus.I’m guessing that the manager of this store must treat Khan and the other staff well - or he would not be so open and sweet to deal with. I hope they give him a raise.

JUUL VAPORS BEWARE!!! FAKE and EMPTY JUUL PODS.This used to be my place to grab snacks and Juul pods, but never again! This morning I was in the store, bought water and Juul pods. When I walked out to my car and opened them up, someone had beat me to it -- they were all opened and EMPTY. When I went back in 30 seconds later to exchange them, I was told it was MY problem and that they only sell unopened merchandise. This is a lie! I literally walked out to my car and right back in -- sorry, we can't take those back or exchange them.Ended up calling the cops -- they got the managers name and phone number, but of course, no one answers at that number. I will keep trying, but I'm really just writing this review to WARN others. Juul pods are expensive -- I lost $20 by their SCAM, but they will lose my business forever (and everyone I know or anyone I can tell -- we have plenty of gas station options in Rogers Park). So, that's about $200 worth of my business they receive from me each month (snacks and Juul pods -- I need to quit, this may be the reason I do) that they will never see again. My partner and friends also buy from this gas station -- we are all boycotting.Go out of business already so we can put something HONEST in there, not some scammers. APPAULED!
