My sister and i grew up in that neighborhood and the owners never batted an eye at us spending lots of time sitting on the floor reading Archie comics. And also the vintage items. Years later i brought my niece who also delighted at the clothes and history and delightful pieces. Love Shangri-La. Thank you to the owners!

This place is amazing — there’s a reason it’s been here so many years. Great vintage at an unbeatable price. I know the owner has been dealing with some health issues lately so i hope people will cut here some slack. She posts regularly on FB when they will be open for business.

The lady owns or works there is so weird makes you uncomfortable. Purposely comes around me and hangs things around me because I hold an empty cup in my hand. She is overly sensitive around her garments. I get that they are vintage pieces and must be handled carefully yet if they are that sensitive do not sell them as they would fall apart on people. Or do not own a shop if you are that senstive in a way can’t tolerate people around your things.

This store used to have a lot of negative reviews. I have no idea how the owner removed them. Reviews that mentioned similar experiences re. size, ageism etc. When I went I wished I had checked the reviews prior and saved myself the distress.This was the most negative shopping experience I have ever had in my life. I still think about it when I shop for vintage at other establishments. I do not normally go out of my way to rewrite negative review but truly - I was put off buying vintage for awhile after the experience.I went into the store in the summer. The owner was busy talking with someone at the front desk and did not great me etc. - fine. As soon as I start looking at clothing sizes/dresses etc. she flies over and goes -"that won't fit you, you are too large." Please note - I AM A SIZE ZERO/TWO. I then asked if she had anything to suggest for me, since I know trying vintage dresses that do not fit can damage the piece. Then she looks me up and down, scoffs and says - "No, there is nothing here that will fit you." Seems HIGHLY unlikely unless this is store for CHILDREN. I HATE to think of someone curvier than I going in this store.The derision and rudeness is something I genuinely have never forgotten. Additionally, its simply not that good of a store. The selection is pretty mediocre - lots of bad 80s and polyester. Prices are comparatively high to other vintage stores in the area. Go frequent any of the other vintage stores with broader sizing, better selection, better pricing but most of all - a kind person up front willing to work with more than whoever she deems a "worthy" customer.

We went here yesterday to get some accessories for a 70s party that we were attending. We were able to find some accessories with great help of the staff. I cannot recall her name (sorry), but she was so helpful and knowledgeable. She knows about the different styles during the span of the 70s, so I’m pretty sure she is familiar with other decades if you ever have questions. I also felt like this store had great prices compared to most vintage stores. I will come back here.

Amazing selection of very reasonably priced and cool clothes! They have a dressing room to try things on and the woman who was working when I visited was very friendly and had a great sense of style!

Nice selection with great tagging—very thorough with each pieces flaws/fit notes on the tags. This saves lots of time as you shop since things that may be your size but are made with tight sleeves or runs small are noted. Will be working it into my usual vintage shop rotation!

Great little store with a nice selection of vintage clothes. Woman working there was super knowledgeable, giving information and facts on each piece of clothing. Prices were very reasonable.
