I first visited 2U for a nonprofit fundraiser and was stunned by the beauty of the building. It wasn't until last year that I began attending services and became a member. The congregation is extremely welcoming. No matter whether you believe in God some of the time, all of the time, or none of the time, you are welcome. No matter your race, who you love, or how much money is in your pocket, you are welcome.
I was jaded about religion and still feel it's weird to say I go to church, but I've found a welcoming religious community here.

Warm prayer space that is accessible to the main floor only. The hike up the stairs to the social hall is always worth it.

It was an amazing and welcoming venue to host our Friday Night welcome event in the loft and our wedding ceremony the next day in the Sanctuary. The event planner was super kind, organized & helpful. Everything went smoothly and it was a great wedding.

Church services are super inclusive, anti-racist, and can be slightly inflammatory to people who have a fragile ego. Go for the growth & dive in. Won't regret it!

There are things I really like about this church but I don't find this church a loving healing placeThey say everyone is welcome despite class and race, yet gossip and are critical of me for being poor and living in a black neighborhood.I needed some pastoral help and the pastor was dismissive and unempathetic. He ended up "forgetting" our appointment.Yet was impressed with the sermon and couldn't rectify the words of the sermon with the way I was treated. When I thought about it I realized it was intellectual but not from the heartI don't find I get what I need here and want both the heart and mind

Went with a friend for the first time and really enjoyed myself. Has a strong sense of community and I met some really nice people! Very welcoming of newcomers.

We had our costumed Halloween wedding reception at Second Unitarian, and it was the perfect venue for us.The admin Kate was very friendly and responsive, and best of all, she was totally cool about rescheduling our reception to an entire year later because of covid. I also found the venue extremely affordable for its size and how nice it is; of the three we saw it was the cheapest but also our favorite. In terms of the space itself, the beautiful church windows lend a gothic aesthetic and look great for any wedding (especially a Halloween one). We had about 100 people and that number comfortably fit in the sanctuary seated at long rows of tables.I'm very glad we found this venue, and would recommend it to anyone.

Great church, with modest-sized congregation of wonderful, kind, people. This is a very welcoming church for all types including shy people. Come to a Sunday service at 10:30am and see for yourself! Refreshments are served immediately after.
