As a busy realtor and my husband a busy tattoo shop owner, finding time to relax and practice self-care is rare for us. Scratch Goods in the West Loop is the perfect escape! We recently visited and were blown away by their natural skincare products and the overall experience. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us pick out items that fit perfectly into our hectic schedules. Their face mask bar is a must-try, offering a unique and refreshing way to unwind. Whether you're local or just visiting, this is a Chicago gem worth checking out. Highly recommend!

After a long week of adulting, we decided to treat ourselves to the mask bar at scratch goods. It was exactly how a self-care Saturday should start. The space is beautifully decorated and inviting. I enjoyed that the host did not rush any of the steps and we were able to enjoy the company of each other while also pampering ourselves.
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself and your loved ones to a special mask bar day date.

Had an amazing time of self care during the mask bar. This 60 min session allows you to slow down and really pamper yourself and see what is actually going into your body. Extreme intuitive and diverse.

Scratch Goods is amazing.
+hosted my 30th birthday party there and everyone had a BLAST.
+tried their new steam session and have done the mask bar multiple times and every time I feel refreshed, smarter, relaxed and thankful for the experience.
+the “front lawn” makes me feel safe and at home
+I’ve attended multiple community events and they were so fun and great ways to network
+they make the favorite lip balm I’ve ever owned
Scratch Goods is the gift that keeps on giving.

I can't say enough awesome things about Scratch Goods; their space is welcoming, they host rad events, their products and customer service is top notch, they are women-owned, inclusive, and involved in the community. The Mask Bar is a great place to take friends, family, and loved ones for a unique experience and quality time. If you are into natural skincare and supporting small business, you are missing out if you haven't made this gem a part of your routine.

Such a lovely experience and the energy of the room felt fun and exciting. I met new people who said it was their third time there! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a skin boost this winter.

I went here for the face mask making class! I wasn't expecting a whole skincare routine! The class started with cleansing, then the mask, then moisturizing and even gave us sunscreen. This whole experience was super fun and relaxing! The instructor was very knowledgeable and explained everything throughly. I really like how we were able to customize what type of mask we wanted to make. I definitely recommend this for a fun girls day treat! Before you leave you can stop by the shop and can buy the products used in the class!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed in my visit to Scratch Goods. That was a bummer because this is the sort of place that should be 100% up my alley since I love trying out new skincare and getting a facial is my favorite form of self-care. My visit was not for the mask bar. I really like their baby oil and it's nice for when I give my baby a massage, so I ordered some during their holiday sale. I actually went in person, but they weren't open. Obviously hours change around the holidays but there wasn't a sign on the door, a message on their social media mentioning the change in hours... oh well. So I bought online and decided to pick up since I didn't want to have to pay shipping. When I visited today there were others shopping which obviously is great. But the customer the employee was helping had questions about the merchandise, was deciding what she wanted to buy, and so on... I was standing around for about ten minutes before another employee came out and said she could help me. I don't have a problem waiting, but when it's going to take that long to assist someone why wouldn't you grab someone else to help other customers? I placed my order November 25. Since I was near the West Loop today I decided to stop by if possible (and luckily I got parking the made it a cinch). When someone else finally came to help me, she couldn't find my order; apparently it wasn't ready. I had not gotten an email but thought either they didn't send an email or it must have gotten sent to spam because it seemed impossible that it would take a week to fulfill an order. This is of course partly on me since I hadn't received an order fulfillment email... but I'm astounded that placing an order for pickup might take more than a week. Plan accordingly. The thing that disappoints the most though is how inaccessible it is, unless there's another entrance. Open the door and there's a staircase up to the second floor to enter. That's not the fault of the business (though if you want to go and you can't climb stairs you're either out of luck if there's no secret entrance) but what I assume was their choice was to wrap the railing with lights and greenery. The greenery was fake so it wasn't something that would hurt you, but it definitely makes it more difficult for someone to walk up or down if they need use of the rail or just want to (which I did, since I was carrying an infant down steel steps). I might give it another try sometime, but I'm just not sure. I would as a social event but not alone; I have plenty of masks/toners/etc. to do it myself and Id rather pay for someone to do it with extractions and stuff. But I will wait for my disappointment to subside until I do.

It was such a fun experience and the perfect getaway for an hour! Grab your bestie or besties and make a day out of it with your hour masking session, add your BYOB bubbles during your masking experience, and then head out to lunch. It is the perfect day!

Came in today at 1pm and they were not open called a few times and no answer even though online and on their website it says they were open. The least you can do is update your hours of operation so people don't waste their time coming in on a Thursday afternoon. So unprofessional.
