I came here to deliver some parts and this guy by the name of McGee through my phone down on the countertop and to be honest I didn’t even realize it but it was two ladies standing at the counter as well saying that was wrong of him by throwing my phone down like that and I’m assuming he didn’t it because I was black

A family friend referred me and its been night and day compared to any other auto shop. I have friends that drive 30 minutes from downtown Chicago specifically to come here. No pressure on non-urgent repairs and very fair prices. Friendly staff and quick turnaround times!!

It was my first time here, Went in to get a ball joint fixed and part of my engine housing, the folks here did great work. The cool older dude behind the counter who I believe is Runge himself was awesome, he even threw in some clips for my heat shield. The prices are fair, and the folks are some straight shooters. Definitely the only place I'll take my car in the future

Tim (I believe that's his name) was super helpful, offered a great price for the work, was honest about the degree of difficulty involved (which was basically none), friendly, and realistic.

I swear they'd give you the shirt off their back if you asked for it. I've taken my car many times for random things because it's way more affordable than my dealership. Extremely nice and helpful.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. There have been countless instances of service that go above and beyond in the 16 years we've lived here. Case in point, this morning (Saturday) at 8:30am, I get a frantic call from my 85 year old mother in law saying that her car suddenly pulled her off to the right and she's partially blocking traffic at Touhy and Clark. I called Runges and explained to Tim the situation and he said "I'll be right there". By the time I got to her, Tim and a service person were already manually moving the car off to the side (it was a broken tie rod). Minutes later he had it towed to the shop. And by 10:30 the car was back with my mother in law. Outstanding service! Thank you so much for the countless instances like this that you've taken care of my family. True heros in my book.

Yesterday I had gotten my Subaru Legacys Brakes, Rotors and also needed two rear Calipers replaced. They were fair, extremely welcoming and made my exprience as easy as it could in that situation. I had been looking for a local mechanic that I could trust and I think I found one. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs work done. I have some more work I need done in the future and I will be routinely going to Runge for my car needs from now on.
