My dog is anxious which makes me anxious - he is usually not great with other people. But his tail starts wagging when we get to Higgins Animal Clinic. It almost feels like his second home, and the team is also so happy to greet him. Who had heard of an animal clinic where a dog is actually excited to visit?? Really lucky to have Higgins and their team!!

I have been coming to Higgins for a little over a year! The staff is incredibly helpful and patient. To be honest, it's probably my dogs second favorite place next to the dog park. Couldn't recommend more!

Best customer service and quality of animal care I have experienced. The staff really cares about your "family member" and they are a fun bunch! We just love them!

I bring my cat here for his yearly exams, vaccinations, and boarding services. Dr. Damiana and the technician staff are incredibly thorough and thoughtful in regard to his wellness care. I feel confident leaving Sid in the hands of Higgins when I am out of town and can always rely on the staff to keep me updated how he is doing (typically accompanied with photos of all his adventures!).

AVOID THIS VET OFFICE!!!!!Be very careful of what vaccines they say are "required" our dog passed away days after getting unnecessary vaccine (15 year old dog) Other vets said they would never have made us give her the shot at that age. Our dog was running and happy and healthy, less then a week later we had to put her down. She lost her ability to walk days after the shot. The vets here are not personal or nice. The office manager (Adele) blamed us. They still owe us money as well! (for stool sample we never were able to bring in since our dog was dead) they also wouldn't admit that they screwed up! Wouldn't admit they didn't give us fair warning this could be a side effect! They will reply to this post and point the finger at us (read other reviews on here- they reply and try to blame the customers) or make up some bullshit excuse why they made us give dangerous vaccine to our senior dog. Please don't let this happen to you. Find another Vet!!!!

Clara is the only dog I have ever seen so excited to come visit the vet and the staff. She and I both enjoy visiting and look forward to a long partnership with you all! Licks and snuffles, Clara London & her dad

It was my first visit as a new dog dad. Professional staff from the time I called the office til the time I left. Staff made me feel welcome (thank you Robyn and Joshua). Loved my first encounter with Dr. Damiana (so did Rumi, my pup). Laura responded to my email inquiry professionally and promptly. I feel that my pup is in good hands.

Dr. Damiana is wonderful. My dog has been having G.I. issues for the last 4+ years, and the vet I was previously seeing, never suggested doing a G.I. panel. Dr. Damiana suggested we do this at our first apt., and the results revealed a B12 deficiency. Since we began supplementing with B 12, my dog has been doing significantly better. I will also mention that the receptionists and staff are all fantastic! They are kind, helpful, warm, and friendly, and they often follow up with phone calls.

Everyone at Higgins has been great, especially as my dog is not exactly the friendliest with strangers. While vet visits aren't stress-free because of my dog's nerves, they are as easy as they can be, from the minute we arrive. Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

I don't know why this place doesn't have five stars but they are seriously awesome. I've been taking my dog Wilson here for years and they are the absolute best. Even though its a little out of the way for me, I'll still come here because the staff is so friendly and they seem really knowledgeable. Arial (sorry if I spelled it wrong) is the sweetest and always finds a spot for me even at the last minute. If you're looking for a trustworthy vet, this is your place.

All I can say is stay away from this place unless you can get some kind of guarantee that Dr. Roberts and/or vet assistant Melissa will be exclusively handling your veterinary needs. I have nothing but good things to say about these two. It was because of them that we recommended this clinic to friends and neighbors in the past. About a month ago, we had to take our pup to Premier ER where it was determined that she possibly had IVDD. This preliminary diagnosis came with a recommendation of strict limitations to her movements (basically crate confinement) for six weeks along with a myriad of medications. About three weeks in, she was doing much better and started to get her personality back. During this time, we noticed her nails were getting a bit long and she was due for a grooming appointment. We contacted Higgins to discuss this and were told to bring her there for a nail trim but the full groom should wait. We took her in on 4/8/21 for the nail trim and got a bordetella vaccination while she was there. When we got home from the visit and took her out of her carrier, we immediately knew something was wrong as she was exhibiting signs of pain and acting as though the three weeks of improvement had simply gone away. We contacted Higgins immediately to see what might have happened during her appointment that could have caused this and were astounded by the response we received from the vet tech. Apparently, our pup was not holding still for the nail trim so, under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Mistar, the vet tech placed our 9 year old dachshund who was in the midst of recovering from a spinal cord injury in a headlock hold (vet's description not mine) while another individual lifted her from her belly to trim her nails. Let me say that again...instead of informing us that our pup, who was midway through her recovery from a spinal cord injury was not responding well to having her nails trimmed and recommending we come back later into her recovery, Dr. Mistar, instead decided to place an animal recovering from a spinal cord injury in a headlock hold to trim her nails. Consequently, we are now back to square one and have to begin a new six week treatment plan, to include harsh medications, and crate restrictions on our pup. This experience has hands-down been the worst experience I have ever had with a veterinary hospital. If all that wasn't bad enough, Dr. Mistar had the audacity to contact us today 4/9/21 feigning concern for our pup all the while defending her and the vet tech's actions while claiming they did nothing wrong and our dog's re-injury may have occurred simply because she was stressed. If you are unfortunate enough to encounter Dr. Mistar, you will be much better off postponing your appointment or going elsewhere.

My dog was very ill and she ended up getting surgery. She recovered great! She is now back to running and jumping all over the place. They were very caring and very kind, 100 percent recommend.
