just waiting on my lease to end. i have numerous of issues that was treated nonchalantly, the have a 24/7 number that isn't 24 hours. I was locked out of my apartment for several hours that i had to go somewhere else to sleep and had 4 panic attacks with hearing my ESA animal trying to get to me to soothe me but couldn't when they changed the locks to manual keys and i didn't receive the right copy. i can rarely get my packages for mail from them due to postal carriers claiming to not have a key or be granted access to the building which i've been out of money for express shipping because of the building lack of postal access. our intercoms been down for weeks and hasn't been fix, trash was JUST removed from our alleyway after being cluttered for months looking disgusting. overall i'm ready for my lease to be up i have not been happy since moving here.

ZERO STARS. I would never trust Root Realty. This is the type of company to steal from you. I applied for an apartment at the end of January, it was a paid application that promised to process thoroughly - ex: reach out to current landlords, current employers, etc. Processing time stated it would take about two to four weeks and that I would be reached out to within that timeframe for updates. I have been calling Root Realty for months, and every time I call they always tell me they don’t have an update yet. It is now JUNE and I applied in JANUARY. No one ever reached out to me. No one ever reached out to my employers, my landlords, etc. They basically promised a full and fair process of my application and never even processed it. I spoke to Kim and Henry multiple times because I was the one always calling, and they never delivered. Never had any answer for me besides the suggestion to be patient. Since I didn’t get what I was promised, I asked for a refund of my application and of course, no one has gotten back to me regarding that. I’m sure they’ll respond to this review and try to rectify the issue now that their extreme unprofessionalism is being put on blast, but they truly do not care otherwise they would’ve reached out to me months ago. DO NOT TRUST ROOT REALTY WITH A DIME OF YOUR MONEY. They are complete scammers.

Nice properties and quick to fix maintenance issues

Ever since they bought out our private landlord, we've experienced issue upon issue. When submitting maintenance requests on their online portal, we never receive a response from an actual person. And when someone comes, I've gotten like a 10-20 minute text/call notice. Also, oftentimes the maintenance requests are marked as 'completed' when NOTHING has been done. Root doesn't care about tenants, just raking in as much cash as possible with as little effort as possible. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Raul is a standout who always goes above and beyond. He deserves 6 stars. However, Root Realty has been unreliable and unprofessional. Currently they are all but refusing to fix our dishwasher. I first put in a work order on April 1st - almost two months ago to the day - and our dishwasher has not worked since. We've had to put three additional work orders in for the dishwasher, because they have closed some of them out without even contacting us. They've just marked them as complete, even though they never called us or came to the apartment. A few weeks ago a technician called and yelled at my husband, insisting that if he were to 'just throw the pod into the bottom of the dishwasher and close the door' it would work. We did and it didn't. This level of negligence and lack of professionalism is honestly unacceptable for a management company.
