Have been with this company for 1-1/2 years - they are handling a property I have in Dallas. Things started out ok. However the last 4 months I’ve had to call their offices to ask that they release the rental disbursement. Each time they say they can release it immediately or the next day - but no explanation as to why this isn’t happening automatically like it did in the beginning. If I have to call each month to beg for a rent payment I might as well deal w a tenant directly…..

Had to track down the lady in charge of us singing a lease. Bad communication. Nice house but moved in with sink leak, dishwasher leak, sump pump leak, and a few other things I just repaired myself. Put in work orders and 2 weeks later they come to take pictures and tell me they have to hear back from owner for repair. LOL. Same ol rental company. Take your money and forget about you. Nothing new.

Communication is horrible. The application process is very slow. I had to track down the property manger to get a decision on my application. The website says 3 to 5 business days. Then when she finally did get back to me 11 days later, she said the home was already leased. So I just lost out on my application money.

I was the one that convinced my family we should purchase and rent out some Section 8 properties since that's an opportunity for some of our investments to help the city we feel so lucky to be a part of and live in. How did that go for the first several years? Oh my gosh, what a MIGRAINE! Back then, I couldn't believe how much paperwork and how many reviews and updates were involved with Section 8 properties. Turnover was high, the paperwork lengthened the vacancy period, and we even had months where rent wasn't paid since we were slow completing mandatory repairs. In summary, back when we managed them, they were a stressful loss of income. So... Why did I feel inclined to write a 5 star review? Because a few years ago, we found Lori Cole at Renters Warehouse. She and her team there are truly AMAZING. I haven't had a vacancy or failed a Section 8 inspection in years. Nowadays, repair work is done quickly, done well, and done for a great price. Nowadays, when tenants call, rather than saying "Sorry" (which was frequently required back when me and my family managed them), I get to say "You're welcome" (despite the fact that Lori and her team deserve all the credit). Lori, I'm sure you and the rest of the amazing Renters Warehouse team already know you're amazing... but it's still fun to point it out. Thank you!!! :)

Worst company I have ever hat to work with - we moved into a house run by renters warehouse, and it was in poor condition. They recommended we move in and they would help us later, however, we found out later by accepting the keys, we were accepting the condition of the home. Lost all our leverage and were stuck paying out of pocket to clean and fix the house.

Had a service request since Saturday asking for my A/C to be repairs. The last 4 days have been 93 degrees in my house. Every time I call renters warehouse and ask for a manager or someone they tell me they will call me right back and don’t call me back ever. There slogan is hassle free property’s but it’s like pulling teeth out of a live bear to try and get them to show up at the property when I request. When I complained about the heat to the initial person I talked to(miles) he told me to stop complaining because people all over have to deal with heat to. But not everyone pays over $2000 in rent each month to insure there home is a livable environment. I was also told that the manager of all repairs for renters warehouse would contact me by noon yesterday and I still have received nothing from them. Very poor company to rent for. Does not have any care for the renter once they get you in the house.

I moved out of a HOME that was managed by Renters Ware House. I sent a letter asking for them to remove me from the lease, my daughter was staying at the property. I was told my name would be removed... A year later I received a letter from a collection agency stating I owed money. My daughter name was on the lease from day one and i'm not understand how I owe money when I asked them to remove me name. I showed my new location lease to the collection agency and they still stated I owe money to Renters Ware House. And on top of that the owner sold the house. The house was sold before I received a letter from the collection agency. My daughter was notified by the owner she was selling. It's sad how Renters Ware House operate not professional at all. I will never refer anyone to them they are a nightmare and a heart attack waiting to happen.

This is an update to my previous review.8/2020.I would like to give a special thank you to one of the the management professionalsat Renters Wharehouse Property management. His name is Ryan Roldan. I recently had a lot of work done at a house I own in Chicago, IL & he was so great to work with. I live in another state & it's difficult to manage & care for my home & keep the tenants happy too. Ryan was very helpful & considerate during a trying time of enhancements & repairs that took a good share of August to complete. His follow-up was so helpful & I could contact him any time about questions or concerns. If he didn't hear from me for two or three days, he got in touch with me to get updates & to see if there was anything he could do to help. Because of COVID-19, everything is more challenging. Thanks to Ryan and his professional & friendly assistance, the renters survived & are happy, and so am I!Renters Warehouse is a good management company. They are friendly, professional , & efficient. If I had more properties than I have , I would have them manage all of them.

I never write reviews online, but my experience with Renter's Warehouse has been bad enough that I felt obligated. I have been a tenant in a Renter's Warehouse unit for 3 years. For most of that time, it has generally been ok. Every year, Renter's Warehouse has reached out to me a few months before my lease expires to discuss if I would like to re-new. This year, that didn't happen. My lease expires at end of June, so I reached out in April and asked about renewing. The person with whom I spoke essentially said she didn't have any knowledge about whether I would be able to re-new, but would contact me with an answer in a few weeks. She never followed up with me. In mid-May, I reached out again to inquire about renewing my lease, and again I the person I spoke with said they could provide no information (this was now only 6 weeks before my lease expires) and didn't even know if renewing would be an option. She once again said that someone would follow up with me. I asked if there was anyone with more information that I could talk to, and she said that she could not give me that information. It is now June and nobody has followed up.Today (June 1) I attempted to pay my rent online as I always do. The Renters Warehouse website was having issues and my payment wouldn't load. I called the office to tell them about this, and the person's response was "you need to go get a money order from your bank and mail it to the renter's warehouse office in Minneapolis." I expressed the absurdity of this "solution" - that their website isn't working so now I have to go out to a bank during a pandemic and mail them a money order.I asked why I have to mail this to the Minneapolis office rather than the Chicago office (I live in Chicago), to which she responded "the Chicago office shut down." I then brought up the issue regarding the lack of responsiveness about renewing my lease. I explained that it is now June, and my lease ends in June, so I really need an answer as to whether I can renew my lease. She had absolutely no information about that issue, even though she admitted that she could see in her system that I've called multiple times about the issue.Times are very challenging and uncertain right now, and Renter's Warehouse has made everything much more convoluted and significantly increased my stress during this difficult time. It's been a truly horrendous experience.
