Bought a nightmare property in April of this year thanks to Ryan Anderson, the seller's agent. The upstairs tenant had shaky finances, which he knew, leaving me with 5 months of unpaid rent and a serious legal headache that continues even now. My closing was delayed a week because of his own financial woes.As a tenant of this building I bought, he also trashed the place before leaving it with damaged walls, broken light fixtures, and piles of his furniture and junk I had to clean up after him. He never returned the garage opener and I was forced to replace the whole system at a high cost. He still owes 4 months of unpaid rent and is misrepresenting himself to even the Sheriff that 'he no longer works at the Bucktown location' to avoid responsibility and receiving court papers. This isn't just unprofessional, it's reckless, and irresponsible. I would avoid Ryan at all costs. He's nothing but trouble disguised as a realtor.

when I called The number listed on a property, the lady was so condescending before I could even schedule a tour. she spoke as if she KNEW I didn’t meet the requirements and even after stating my credit score and income (which is predatory just for a viewing) she STILL didn’t want to schedule a tour and vaguely said she’d check her calendar and call back.I call the office and was transferred to another women who immediately hung up after saying hello… I couldn’t even say hello back before I hear the click. I call the office back and ask for a manager she sends me to a Joe, who is just as fishy as the first lady.they act as if they do not want anyone renting the place. when u look on the Zillow listing, you see 232 contacts have been made to them and not one application…I wonder why….their trying to screen people strictly off of voice & income… ridiculous but not surprised in segregated Chicago. woohoo

Sadly an all around bad experience. Nice people but they are part of a machine and just don't care and don't have the time to explain. Just sign here and sign here and sign here. I guess this is typical with corporate America. More money for their pockets is best. Shame on me for trusting that people would and should do the right thing. Go with the smaller companies they will value YOU and appreciate YOU and appreciate your business.

**update**I still can not get a straight answer on policy from the Manager at your location. When a property is put under contract, do you have to list the property as contingent or pending sale? You're agent and Manager are both avoiding the question.Found a house that I liked on the 30th of May. Put in an offer on the property, the offer was accepted that day. Had to go back and forth with the seller's agent a few times in order to get the paperwork for the contract signed on the 2nd of June. Your agent never placed the property on Contingent status. The contract stated that it had a 7 day attorney review and on the 9th 7 days later the contract was canceled for no reason. Your agent has terrible communication and bad practices. When asking your agent what is going on with the property he would not respond to what is happening. How can you gain trust with customers or potential customers when you have bad practices. When I spoke to other At Property agents, the stated that he is known for being fishy like that.

I retained Katie, an agent within Sachs-Wong's team to represent me to find a renter for an owned condo unit. When the listing agreement was presented well into the process, I found out that their agreement has at least two disreputable provisions to watch out for: 1) if they find you a renter, they want you to pay them for 1 month's rent commission FOR EVERY YEAR THAT RENTER REMAINS, and 2) whether or not they find you a renter, there is a 'fine print' provision where you owe them 6% of sale price commission if you happen to later want to sell the property within 15 months. Both sneaky undisclosed 'gotchas'. Last time I used @properties, the Realtor said the prospective renter wanted a 2 year agreement and I said - great! Only too late did I learn that this meant I owed the Realtor double commission (and this was in no way disclosed until it was too late). This firm has just a completely disreputable approach that in no way considers their client's interests. Honestly, it's a form of theft as far as I'm concerned. So use this provider and ignore the fine print at your peril. This will be the last time I consider using @Properties. Should have learned my lesson the first time.

If you want the best realtor in Chicago, you must contact Davia Lipscher. This woman is hand down amazing! Always with a smile on her face, she works tirelessly for you. Despite my very particular demands and continued search, she was so supportive and encouraging the whole way! Her knowledge of chicago and the real estate market is so on point and insightful, you couldn’t be in better hands! She never rushes you, really caring about you being 100% happy. A real star in a very competitive field! Plus her bright, uplifting spirit is enough to keep you wanting to buy more houses! Thanks again Davia!

AVOID COURTNEY KENNEDY.She is extremely unprofessional.I toured a property 3 days ago and submitted my application within 24 hours of the showing. She had completely ignored my texts after our showing (although she told me that she would be available via text following our tour)She recommended that we had a cosigner with our application and we actually submitted with not one, but TWO cosigners to ensure our application is approved. However, when I finally got a hold of her (after being transferred 3 times), she told me that our application was not approved (although we had not received a letter or any info regarding this) and the reason for our denial being our credit scores (which she said should not be a problem given we have a cosigner and that we are 4th year medical students). She also said our group size (6 people) was too large given there are 4 bedrooms/ 3 bath. This is interesting because the average unit in Chicago in this location is 2 person per 1 bedroom...we had less than 2 people per room! However, I can't argue with the landlord's preference...but I believe she should have been more transparent with us regarding this from the beginning, before we submitted our application + application fee. When I spoke with her one the phone regarding this, hoping to have a discussion with her to help me understand what was happening on her end with the landlord/her company, she hung up on me! Completely inappropriate way to speak with and interact with clients.I also believe she wanted us to submit our application to eat our application fee costs. 6 people x $85 application = $425 (no including our cosigner application fees) adds up to be a lot of money and I strongly believe that she did not have our applications properly processed, nor do I think she was interested in having our applications looked over from the beginning, prior to us submitting our fees.ALSO note, the property we were looking at was owned by her FAMILY MEMBER, which makes me even more suspicious that she just wanted our money! She should have known the expectations of the landlord given she is a FAMILY MEMBER and should have told us that he/she was not comfortable with more than 4 people living in his/her unit.

I am not reviewing @properties bucktown as a whole, but rather their agent Jen. Jen was persistent throughout 6 mths calling me to show me homes, finally when i was ready, i went to her as she really wanted my business & i was impressed that she offered to meet me for coffee to discuss my house hunt needs & wants, as no other agent had offered. i thought she had good follow-up and i felt i can trust her. Boy was i wrong! story short, she referred me to a bum attorney, which i later fired, already deep in the contract i never ever heard from jen again. things started to fall apart and she never called me to advice me on next steps, it had been a month after signing the contract, and i never heard from her again. once the deal fell thru she sends me a text telling me it was my loan broker's fault and i never should have done this or that and she knew all this, yet she never called me to advice me otherwise, after i spent hundreds of dollars on a 2nd appraiser. I highly recommend NOT to do business with this person, as she uses deceiving tactics, which she said she's very well trained by @properties. the seller's agent was also an @properties agent whom was also using similar tactics. come to think of it, maybe it is @properties the source of the problem. 4K down the drain just because i trusted this agent.

Chris Pertile, an agent of @properties lists units that are highly enticing and NOT AVAILABLE. I am presently looking for a new apartment, I live in the building the bogus listing is in. The doorman said someone moved in over two months ago. I confronted Chris and he said "oh that is still up I'm not sure why that could be." Well, it just reappeared. New listing as of 12 hours ago. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LIARS!!! Avoid @properties and Chris Pertile at all costs.
