“i had a really great experience here opening a PO Box. i was slightly hesitant based on the negative reviews so i just want to add my positive experience in case anyone is on the fence. There was one employee at the desk and she was very nice, helpful, and efficient with myself and everyone in front of me despite being it kind of being a holiday (Monday July 3).There were three people in front of me and i still got in, registered, and out before my 15min parking was up.I didn’t catch her name, but the employee working today was so lovely and i wouldn’t hesitate recommending people to use this location!”
“Amazing service!!! Staff are amazingly helpful. Will highly recommend this place. They guide you step by step and give great recommendation. Been in other locations, but this is beyond expectation.”
“Quick service if you get there early in the morning. Sometime long lines with a 15 min. To 20 min. Wait . Friendly USPS ladies behind the desk , very professional.”
“I don't send packages often, and the woman who worked today was kind and helped me with taping up my package - which I really appreciated. A great location and amazing customer service!”
“The customer service was awesome, the agent taking my mail asked me a few questions and even called a friend to make sure I had all the items required for passport renewal in my envelope. She was full of positive energy too!!”
“Super kind staff and easy self service options too, so you can scan a pre-paid label for a receipt at a kiosk without even having to interface with anyone! Any time I’m here, I can be in and out in a matter of a few minutes.”

433 W Harrison St Fl Lbby, Chicago“I want to thank the employee - KEISHA. She is the only person who helped us deal with the parcel.
We called the hotline for two weeks and were told to just wait. We came to different locations and no one checked where the package was. We were also at this location and the employee did not help us.
She was the only one who checked where our parcel was, went to see if they had it, called another location and told what to do next. She helped us track the package. We are very grateful to her.”
“It's the post office! It's not going to be perfect but I've always been treated nicely, and I appreciate that they are willing to answer my questions and explain things if there is an issue.”
“I agree with others that there is rarely more than one person at the window to help which causes long, slow lines. Today, however, Shirley went over and above my expectations in helping me renew my passport. She provided exceptional service!”
“Came in on a Monday around 5:30 pm before closing. Not a long line. I was just dropping off some packages. The lady at the desk was friendly and I was in and out in 10 minutes.”
“Thank you to all the hard working ladies and gentlemen at the USPS. I use this location and everybody is always nice to me. Probably because I show up with my patients packed and say please and thank you. A lost art of conviviality.”
“Went in today to apply for my daughter’s passport. Ms. Niecy was incredibly kind and patient and treated us with the utmost professionalism and respect. Thank you for such a pleasant experience Ms. Niecy!”
“Last month I came by to receive my two packages and first off, why are the opening hours so inconvenient? But the lady behind the counter was nice enough and I did end up receiving my packages so it wasn't too bad.”
“Everytime I come here, everyone is so nice and helpful. Packages always deliver and on time. Never any issues with this post office. John is always nice and helpful.”
“These folks have a tough job dealing with people who have little knowledge of how the system works and they’ve always been super helpful when we had lost packages. Thank you!”
“I went to this location about half an hour before closing on a Friday (I know ... it was the earliest I could get there) in order to send a package of documents internationally. I had reviewed the options online, but still wasn't sure what the best shipping option would be. The USPS worker who helped me was patient with my questions and informative in her explanation of the options; she explained clearly the delivery timelines for different methods and which offered signature on delivery (which I needed). I stepped aside to complete the necessary forms; because of the time of day, of course, several people passed through while I was there, and she was able to help everyone get through the line before closing. (There was one woman who came in and did try to skip the whole line and went straight to the counter while there was a customer being assisted, and the USPS worker -- rightly! -- told her she'd need to get in line like everyone else.) Post offices get a bad rap for service, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this location for help with any shipping in the future.”
“This post office is the best one in the area! Very efficient and warm employees. I don’t know her name, but the older black woman always meets me with a smile. This place is much better than Gunnison!!!!”
“I had books to mail. Self service won't do media mail, so I got in line and waited for five minutes, just like at any post office. Clerk complained about her job but processed my order quickly, correctly, and politely, so I'm happy. She had great nails. Others complain that clerks throw mail. I saw that too. Newsflash: Properly packaged items can withstand normal handling. Not a problem at all. I came to mail and that's what I did. Five stars.”
“I want to thank all of the staff that helped me locate my package today. Y’all are amazing ?
Update: This staff is amazing! They do an amazing job of making sure their customers are informed and are happy to help.”
“I love Michelle and Pam!!! Very friendly, great customer service. I feel like they’re family since I seen them weekly to pick up my million delivered packages lol they’re a perfect team!!!”
“Tasha really helped us out. Went above and beyond and did everything she could (with the patience of a Saint) to make sure our parcels were received and tended to. Thanks Tasha!!!”
“The African-American girl's service was very good. Even if the reservation time was wrong, she was very fast and completed it in less than 5 minutes. She gave her a 5-star rating.”
“I’ll be honest, not sure why this location (if accurate on prior reviews) has such a bad rap! This review is for the post office located on Irving Park and Narragansett, Chicago, Illinois. My personal experiences here have been positive. Just recently, I had to track down a package, and I was helped with outmost respect. Celeste was specially thorough and understanding with my situation! Thank you!”
“It's not as bad as others say, the person inside has a launch break, if someone is not there. The hours could be better but it's far closer than going to Halsted.”
“I usually have an unpleasant experience at the post office. I live near downtown so I was in this neighborhood & went to the post office & can easily say I’ll be coming back here.I was lucky enough to have Debra take care of me to send out my package & she was wonderful! Super helpful & sweet! Need more employees like her!:)”
“I came in right before close with a change of address request—the staff was helpful and kind despite me not having all my documents ready to go. The building itself was pretty typical of the postal service, older and not in the running for any design awards, but well kept and easily accessible.”
“I didn’t get the woman’s name at the front desk, but she is always so kind. I’ve been in twice because of the reviews. It’s so hard to find good places to go for good customer service anymore, and this one I recommend if you care about patronizing a place with great customer service, like myself. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”
