Don’t make an appointment online. They will not take you in, even with proof of a confirmation email. Call them for an appointment or go somewhere else. I would do the latter.

Best pet hospital in the city. My pets have been going to Portage Park Pet Hospital for almost 30 years. Dr.Kate and staff are fantastic.
Everyone is kind and so helpful.

I took my cat on Monday sep 23 2024 to have dental surgery. When I went to pick her up she wasn't breathing right. They put her on oxygen that wasn't helping then she stopped breathing. They did CPR ON HER but nothing was helping. My cat was fine when I took her in
They said everything went well during the surgery so why did she pass away. I was told that when they went to put her in the carrier to bring out to me. She got away from that handler and did like 4 laps around the room before catching her. They seem to think by her running around after surgery she might have had a stroke. My cat was fine when I took her in it was supposed to some teeth extraction dental work. Why is my fur baby gone!? Even the vet said it should have never happened so why did it happen? After she ran around did someone handle her wrongly? I need some answers

I moved away and can’t keep coming here but my experience has always been great! The staff are so patient and understanding - one of my cats gets so stressed out when he goes to the vet that he pees all over his carrier. They were so kind in cleaning him up and the carrier. They provide guidance on affordable options and overall just a really effective and efficient service!

I've been taking my pets to this clinic for years and so has my parents. Prices have gone up, availability and appointments have diminished, policy has changed to which staff chooses when they want to follow. Called recently for my dog that has been a patient with them since 2018, could not be seen till 2 weeks away and tried to take a deposit for the appoint claiming it was a policy in place since covid. My pets had been there multiple times since covid and never took a deposit. Went there once for a skin tag removal for my dog, the vet tried say it was an operation and would cost me 2,000 dollars. I passed on the operation and the skin tag fell off the next day. Be aware of what the are charging you or what they are trying to do. I will not be bring my current or future pets back to this clinic.
