The good news is this store has what appears to be a good selection of books for both children and adults. The bad news? Good luck getting help if you have a question. We came in 15 minutes after the 10 am opening, saw no one at first, but followed the sound of a voice toward the back of the store. A woman came out, on her phone, and continued the conversation without even a glance to acknowledge our presence as went to the register. We waited for her to finish, but after 15 minutes of still ignoring us in favor of her phone, my husband interrupted to ask about some books. Her reply was "two weeks," and she went right back to her phone. We left, and have no plans to return.

I came here Saturday with my wife and bought her 80 dollars of books,to also support small business. Lady at counter asked the wife in Polish if I was her sponsor,or sugar daddy, because I bought her these things. And I only speak english,so,I didnt know. I will never be back here, ill buy online. The male who is here has always been nice, though.

I came in here with my two kids wanting to purchase books for them as well as myself. I drove all the way from Arlington Heights as unfortunately there are no polish bookstores that I'm aware of in the suburbs, so I was ready to spend some money since I was making the trip. My children, who are one and four, were of course curious and looking at the books and puzzles. The woman who maybe is the owner came over and was telling them not to touch the books that were not for children. Fine, no problem, my child makes a mess I will of course clean it up, no need to start with the remarks. My daughter then pooped in her diaper, sorry but she is one. The woman once again made a remark "Somebody pooped here". I asked if there was a bathroom I could use to change her, and the response was "no, it's getting remodeled". Fine. Then when my daughter was running back and forth, the woman made a remark again, "who is making all that trouble?". I stupidly apologized and I said "it's hard to shop with kids". The woman's response was "yes it is hard to shop with kids so it's best to pick something fast and leave". I am polish, I was born in Poland, but I have been here in the states for close to 30 years. It's sad when you try to keep the cultural connection and you get crappy service, extremely judgmental service, from a place like this. An American business owner would not make these comments ever. Unfortunately I purchased books from here bc I did make a far trip, but I will definitely not be going back.
