HORRIBLE customer service and discriminatory practices by the staff at this location. Had an extremely unpleasant experience visiting this gym today. While this is Not my home gym my home gym is in Chicago and I have visited this location a hand full of times in the past 2 weeks. This evening after scanning in I was abruptly halted and denied entry into the club by a staff member who identified herself as "Zuly" due to the fact that I had a suitcase.... According to Zuly "suitcases aren't allowed in the gym. I meant to tell you that the last time I saw you." I repeatedly stated that my suitcase would be in the locker room with me and not on the gym floor and was then told that I cannot enter with a suitcase because it has to be able to fit inside the locker.... Why would my suitcase need to go inside a locker if I'm right beside it??? People aren't placing their water bottles in a locker every time they sit it down. I asked to see this policy in writing. I was then told by 'Zuly' that I signed a waiver that stated that they can make up whatever rules that they want to...... Good to know.... I asked if she could repeat that so I could record her statement. She quickly told me "you're not allowed to record us". .. Mind you this exchange is happening an there are a decent amount of patrons in this gym and they are witnessing her speaking to me in a very demeaning tone and watching this whole situation take place. Some of which are standing right behind the desk (which is temporarily relocated for construction) working out and some of which are hearing this as they are coming and going.... Needless to say it was an embarrassing situation, which I'm sure was partly the goal. Mission accomplished. So I say to her I will be back because I have a duffel bag in my car. I go out and come back in and then get stopped by 'Zuly' and told that I need to scan in again. I replied that I scanned my key card the 1st time that I came in. She said it didn't matter, that I have to scan my key card every time I walk in and out of the door... Ok.... So I scan my key card again.Then a 2nd rep who identified himself as Alonso turned the screen to me and said that I couldn't come in because I had passed the 10 visits limit... I have been a PF black card member since before 2019 and have NEVER been stopped at the desk let alone denied entry on this basis. Hell I have only visited my "home gym" a hand full of times after the 1st year... Alonso says "it's not personal", but it is because 1. That wasn't even the initial reason I was being denied entry and 2. It was after 9pm on the 31st day of the month. The month is over already, so what was the point in trying to use that as the reason to deny entry especially after I had already scanned my keytag 5 minutes prior without being let in.... So I say to 'Alonso' well at midnight it'll be a new month and that number resets so I should be able to come in right? He says that is correct.... So despite having been a PF black card member for over 5 years I was sent out to the parking lot to wait for 3 hours until midnight. Planet fitness definitely has an anti-discrimination policy which they apparently need to do a better job of coaching their workers on. Not sure whether it's because I'm black, queer, masc presenting or a combination of the lot that subjected me to this bullying behavior today, but I will be reaching out to the GM because the way i was treated should not be considered acceptable.

Obviously judgement free also means rule free, there are people that try to hog more than one machine at a time, take more than one set of barbells at a time, and don't re rack weights, this gym has continued to decline in atmosphere, I guess profits are all that's important, if you can go to another location I recommend you to do so, as will I

A few days ago I went with my daughter and she wanted to have a drink in the chair and after she had a few minutes in the chair a guy came and told me that she couldn't be there because that was only for members!!?As you know They imagine that people will want to take a membership there if they don't know how some areas work
Now, why don't they say it at first, if they don't do it until he is already on the chair, you will see how unprofessional the staff is. And how absurd their rules are.

yo le llamo mi lugar feliz excelente lugar lo único que aun sigo preguntando que deberia haber letreros para que la gente no se siente a verse los zapatos en las maquinas tomandose su tiempo para estar viendo el teléfono y a platicar ...no entiendo la inconsciencia y paciencia para perder el tiempo y solo ocupar las maquinas por comodidad...

Poor customer service. Receptionist gives you a very hard time. They refuse to verify you with the photo you have taken upon signing up for membership. Myself and 2 other black patrons experienced this from non black staff. The other 2 patrons expressed it being a theme. I did reach out to management, to no resolve. He appeared to have the same mind set as the receptionist, but stated they should have been able to verify me, using my photo, they took, upon signing up (my initial ask of them, considering my phone was not charged, and I’m trying to comply). Receptionist threatened me with security, which whom I was happy to speak with however, they never came. In addition, the staff made snarky comments under their breath as I exited. Manager response was, this is their version , and threatened to cancel membership. Yes everyone knows you are supposed to scan in, but if your phone is dead etc. that is what pic is for. Very poor customer service. Historically customer is always right. You won’t get that from this manager, given the previous complaints below about management, reception(SOME NOT ALL), and their rudeness. The only thing I was looking for is for staff to be appropriately in-serviced on customer service, and the alt to phone, with ID or pic (PF has on file). Simple right, not according to management and his staff. I did report to BBB as well.

Those who attend resection are very apathetic and a little rude, you ask them for help and what they do is look at you up and down with a bad face. Friend, you face the public with a little empathy and a better mood. For this reason I give it 2 stars.

The worst place I have ever known, total disappointment with those who work there, I received discrimination from them and when my husband asked to speak to the manager the girl very drastically said there is no manager ?, for this reason we canceled the subscription the same day We signed up
