Very poor customer service ? it was 2 of us waiting at the register to check out. The salesperson was in eye shot of us, and she continued to talk to a customer for 15 minutes while we waited. Didn't apologize for making us wait.

Manager is rude.I’ve been there multiple times and she has the same attitude.Wasted my time just to help me pick out fish. Gave me a whole lecture and was rude at it. Insisted I have no return guarantee written on my receipt in case my fish dies! Fish!Wasted about 30mins of my time to help me bag Goldfish.Would definitely be finding a different location.All the ladies there have a nasty attitude and waste time in checking you out even if there’s no line.Find another Petco, better still, go to Petsmart.

I'm a regular customer at this location but had a disappointing experience today. I had to make a return of almost $100 worth of food because I have a picky cat. I unfortunately lost my receipt and the cashier refused to use my phone number or account to look up my transaction saying they need a paper receipt.I'm glad I did not take her word for it and tried the Petco on Pulaski and Lawrence who confirmed they are able use my phone number for my rewards account to give me a refund. They made my day and I recommend everyone to go to the Petco on 4840 N Pulaski Rd instead of this one on Western.

Stopped on to see about a vest/coat for our lab/pit. Found various sizes plentiful and bought a flannel pajama looking cover-up as well as a cute yellow raincoat.The store staff were WONDERFUL. got some great advice on a couple of health supplements and got help with a comfortably made harness. Before now, because our pup has a deep chest, most harnesses would not fit logically. But for the store associates help, we would not have found this.Of course, had to grab a couple squeaky toys by the time we got to the check out.Thank you Petco for your help!

Are used to love this store until I had an interaction with a very young pregnant girl that claims to be your manager. You really need to train people and customer service. I used to shop at the store all of the time and buy many fish and other items for my pets here I will no longer do that due to this rude inconsiderate person that should not be claiming to be a manager. If you want to keep customers you need to train them in customer service they could give a negative I would.

Decent layout- only problem is that it seems like there’s no employees in the store and the 1 employee visible stays behind the register the entire time despite making eye contact and recognizing that you might need some assistance. It’s a shame too- only store with a decent aquatic section in the area.

*Update* The manager is very communicative and respectful. He was able to provide adequate service and ensure that he got the stock he needed for me to purchase. I really appreciated his patience. The store seems to have gotten stock updates and new animals. ALL that I would like to say is that you please keep up with the cleanliness and contentment of your animals.Terrible upkeep of the store/inventory. The bird cages were filthy, the other animals are downright neglected/depressed looking. Upon entering the store, employees are playing around screaming at each other. I was there for two items, one of which I found easily a net for cleaning my tank the other item was not available but the manager was of NO ASSISTANCE I had to explain several times what item it was with so much patience I had to let him know I was not able to wait any longer for a item.I have been to this location several times, out of connivence, and each time the upkeep/inventory of the store not to mention the unprofessionalism would keep anyone away.
