We've used Out-U-Go for several years now and they've been mostly good. The service this time however was shocking. We have a cat, which is super easy to take care of - all he needs are visits and love. We leave our cat with these caregivers so we know he's in good hands and so we don't have to stress out. Several of his visits this time were good, mostly had the same cat sitter and she seemed knowledgeable. The sitter that came right before we returned from our trip was new but that's nbd. We get home, check around the house as we usually do, go into the bathroom where his litter is kept. I'm baffled to see it's dark grey and dirty, surely not litter. Upon looking further I noticed the sanded grout bag near his litter box (we recently renovated our bathroom) was the culprit. This sitter took the bag of sanded grout and dumped it into his litter box. Our poor cat was using his box in filthy chemicals. I was livid. We looked up the particular grout and didn't clearly see if it was toxic to cats, but we're taking him to the vet as a precaution. Furthermore, our entire bathroom was coated in a layer of dark dirt, as well as parts of our house. I emailed them and left a voicemail voicing my concerns. They called back and the guy literally didn't let me say two words the entire time while saying he was sorry. He also said it was an honest mistake. I'm sorry but no. Sanded grout is clearly not litter and the litter in the box was completely different. Also once you saw it was clearly different or god forbid, looked at the bag - fix it immediately. Don't leave it there. It says ON THE BAG this is toxic. I can understand a simple mistake like not showing up a day we scheduled you or not scooping the box, but this? No. Absolutely not. They offered to pay for our vet visit, but we will also be charging them for the cleaning fees we will have from all the dirt and should be refunded our visit, at least for that day. We have recommended you to several of our friends, but we will no longer do this and we have let everyone know what happened. They will not be receiving our business anymore because we travel frequently and honestly, cannot handle the stress of knowing our cat, our child basically, is in danger. We have more reliable friends and honestly anyone who is intelligent enough to know the difference between litter and literally grout.

The best customer service experience I had had in years. Keith is fantastic. And doggie care is excellent!

DO NOT USE THEM!! First walk went fine, my 2nd scheduled walk they never showed up. My dog was left alone all day with no communication from them. The excuse? They said they didn't recognize my email the previous day as a "request" after they sent an email bolded that my dog was set everyday going forward. Getting home from work to your dog in a state of not being taken out all day with no paper report card they were supposed to leave is not a good feeling. I'm appalled that a company would blame the consumer after they, in writing, said they would provide a service. I would never trust them with my dog and am strongly suggesting nobody else put themselves in this situation. Also, good luck ever trying to get ahold of someone after business hours, though they also claim they can be reached..

They are very reliable and truly care about your pet. I love the little notes they leave each visit.

Hassle-free and reliable! We've used Out-U-Go on several occasions. We have two cats who can be a bit mischievous. During the meet & greet, our Out-U-Go visitor made sure to pay close attention to the things we were worried about (cats running out the door, chewing on blankets or pillows, accidentally turning on the stove). It put us at ease that they took our concerns so seriously.

We really value the excellent service and relationship we've had with OUG which now spans about 15 years and several different dogs. They are extremely reliable and consistent in their services, so you don't have to worry about your pups while you're away from home. Scheduling is very easy and they are very responsive. Over the past year we've had an extremely inconsistent schedule in our home due to a new puppy and an older dog with some health issues requiring very different approaches for each dog in terms of both scheduling and care, and they have handled this evolving situation with patience and kindness. I recommend them to anyone every chance we get, so here's another recommendation.

They did in home visits for cat while we were on vacation. Kitty got plenty of pets, a clean p*** box, food, water. All for a pretty cheap price.

I have a 4 month old puppy and they were always late taking her out. They made excuse after excuse. DO NOT PUT ANY FAITH IN THEIR SERVICE. They have no work ethic and should be closed. My puppy cried on my phone's camera. They destroyed my trust. Period.

I would never recommend this company. They had nothing but excuses for not being there at the agreed upon window. After the first time they agreed to be closer to the middle of our 2 hour window and they STILL showed up late AFTER the two hour window. The office manager and general manager for the chicago location are horrible people and wouldn't let me finish sentences. I finally had to hang up on her because Lindsay wouldn't shut up and let me talk. Her excuse: " well there's no guarantee" (this is after agreeing to being there at an earlier time the week prior), and "it was only a few minutes late" It's a 5 month old puppy Lindsay...take responsibility and FIX IT and stop making excuses.

I wish I could recommend this organization, but unfortauntley after three attempts, I will no longer be using OUG. I have both a cat and a dog. I did an initial screening where I phsyically showed an employee how to do everything to my liking.

I use OUG regularly every week, at least 3 times a week. They are SO good with last minute changes, additions or cancellations. When I moved to Bucktown my old dog walker wasn't able to follow me. I reached out to multiple companies looking for a female walker. I have 2 small dogs and my little guy warms up to females much quicker but even then sometimes they can't leash him the first few times since he gets timid. My regular walker is Hannah and she got him on the first try! Emily fills in also when needed and they're both great. It's so nice to know I have a couple options in case one of them is sick or on vaca. Their customer service is impeccable and always get back to me ASAP. Highly recommend!!

Outstanding! We are a military family moving across country and had our dog with us. We stopped in Chi town for a short visit with friends and wanted to attend a concert. The folks at Out-U-Go went the extra steps to provide us a dog walker on very short notice. They helped with all the arrangements and were easy to get in contact with. Highly recommended!

Out U Go walks our dog several times a week, and they're always dependable & personable. They remember our preferences, they're quick to respond to questions, schedule changes, etc. The dog walkers do change, but it's not a different person every day. Over the course of a year we've probably had a rotation of the same 3 or 4 people. We love the notes they leave (and dog treats on holidays!), and it's clear that they truly love animals. On a few occasions, I've been home when they visit and got to see how happy our dog is to see them. I'd recommend them to anyone.
