Big thumbs down?? I WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF MY RELIGION. My experience here for a first time was trash ? I was on my way to cash a check further down the road when I noticed a beautiful army dress & I thought to myself this is the perfect dress for the church service; considering the theme is “IM A SOLDIER FOR THE ARMY OF THE LORD”, so I go inside and asked did they have a 1X or a 2X in that dress & the lady over the store said yes & let me view the dress then a man came trying to tell me about the dress asking what event is it for & I said a church service so as I was viewing the dress he made a statement saying “it’s a lil revealing but it’s ok” or whatever comment he made) so I replied “No its not ok, I don’t do that”. Now as im looking at the dress & thinking to myself how I was going to fix it up, he make another irrelevant statement that lead me to say, “No No I don’t serve that type of God”, so he try’s to argue with me saying “Well what type of God you serve because there’s only one God”, and I replied “I DONT SERVE THE ONE YOU SERVE, I serve a real God, a holy God, a righteous God!”. So the supposed to be person of the store put the dress down & left while whoever this guy was; was blocking my way trying to argue! after he was done & step aside i walked towards the exit & I told the lady thank you & exited. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment the attitude from the owner & coworker was very nasty & arrogant; he shouldn’t have made any comment concerning the way I dress or the way I like to dress because everyone’s different then to turn around & question my religion??? Really! So that was my horrible experience & I wouldn’t recommend this place considering I was discriminated against all because what I believe in & the way I believe I should dress.

This shop is a must see if you are within driving distance. I have purchased several beautiful garments and dozens of jewelry pieces from thier website and I have loved every purchase. To find out that this shop is owned by all women and all women of color is beyond an added bonus. It amazes me how such a tiny business can still manage to be philanthropic especially during this crazy pandemic.

I was visiting a friend in Chicago. She told me about a new shop called “ Obsessed Chicago “ that just opened and said we should check it out. I am so glad we did. So many great clothes. So many to choose from, and the prices can’t be beat. The staff was super helpful. They had great fashion sense and helped me to find some great outfits. I will definitely be coming back the next time I come to visit. I only wish they would come open up a shop where I live. No question they are going to do great. If you want great clothes then go check it out for yourself you won’t be disappointed.
