I have lived at this apartment for the last three years and have nothing but the best to say about living at North Water. The amenities are top-notch and the city views are amazing, especially from the east. The team that works here is dedicated to providing the best experience for the residents. The leasing agent Amber Stone, in particular, has gone above and beyond to help me with the process. Highly recommend!

Have really enjoyed my time living here! Concierge and maintenance staff is amazing and building is always kept clean. I had some minor hiccups when moving from leasing staff, but I think that the transition in management companies has been completed so that should all be resolved now. Unit is nice and is very sound proof

North Water Apartments is a very classy, beautiful building. I just moved in two weeks ago and Amber was amazing to work with. Very friendly and kind at all times. And Jeanine as well, the whole North Water management team has been taking very good care of me. They also replaced 2 major appliances right away. One because of cosmetic blemishes, the other one due to malfunction. I love the amenities and the views. Again, Amber was critical to making my move-in process a great success. And Jeanine as well was superb in customer service.

Gorgeous building with serene Lake views. Andrea's events are great to meet neighbors, and the location is perfect if you like great restaurants! It's also adjacent to the Loews Chicago hotel so you have first-hand access to the bar and restaurant there as well!

Had great experience with moving in, Amber and Jeanine helped make this process super smooth and they were here for all of my questions, top notch professionalism.One of the best places to live in Chicago,building is amazing, great location - you get the view of both lake and the city, lots of amenities , i toured bunch of places in downtown Chicago trying to find an apartment and nothing can compare to North Water apartments

I lived here twice, in two different units and at two different time periods of my life, and I loved it. However, when I was going to come back in 2023, I filled out an application and decided to cancel it within a day, due to external things going on. No credit check had been run, no income verification, nothing had been done yet- I had simply filled out an application and had not sent them anything beyond that in terms of financial paperwork etc. They decided to keep my 500 dollar move in fee anyway- that is criminal. So be VERY careful if you apply here because it seems that since I left this complex, they now only care about money. If you fill out a piece of paper then cancel it before anything has even been done on their end to verify you, they will keep anything you paid. Ive rented for over 17 years and I have never seen this happen with any apartment complex. Typically you are allowed to cancel an application and get the move-in fee back. Of course most apartments keep your application fee, which is usually 50-75 dollars, but the move in fee is always refundable up until the point where you sign a lease. Not here- here they do things in what I would consider a very unethical manner. Now that I know this, I will absolutely never live here again and will never rent from any property owned by this company. While my time spent living here in the past was wonderful, I think this was before this management team was in place. I definitely would not recommend this complex to anyone simply due to the management and the company that owns this complex.

Used to love this building and recommend it, but the past few months have made me completely change my mind. The building recently sold and since has drastically declined. The freight elevator was not in service for months, it is finally working again, but was a major inconvenience as it goes directly to the parking garage. When my boyfriend sent emails asking for updates they were not answered. The printer never works, was out of service for weeks and now is never ‘online’ when I go to use it. The building used to be cleaned thoroughly but now our hallway has not been vacuumed in months and has so much dog hair built up it’s disgusting. The online platform to pay rent with autopay has not worked the past two months. There was a large group of people let into the building who should not have been allowed in and damaged property on the amenity floor and we never even received an email about the event. It was absolutely a safety concern. There have been awful smells in the hallways lately as well. Luxury building without the luxury. For the price of rent they charge, look elsewhere!

The building used to be better but the new management has definitely made things worse. The freight elevator hasn’t worked which is convienent for accessing the parking garage. At first it was a few days, then a few weeks and now a few months later, still not working. When I emailed management asking for an update there was no response. Some of the better staff also left. Lastly, the fobs take several tries to open the doors. Would not recommend moving in.
