Truthfully this review is a year too late - it’s been a rough year and always on my to-do list…Someone backed into my parked 2020 Porsche 992 causing a decent amount of front bumper damage.Steve and his crew are truly a class act. Perfect repair and perfect PPF after. You get what you pay for!I asked Steve if they would work on other makes and models since all I saw in the shop were Porsches. He said “absolutely - we’re building relationships here, not just cars.”That’s all you need to know about this shop!A belated big thank you to Steve and his crew!

My experience with Steve and Alden at North Shore Auto Rebuilders has been by far the best experience I've had dealing with Body Shops for over 30 years. I had a major single car accident that was MAJOR. From the initial appointment quote and finished product on our Mercedes Benz - the process was flawless. They communicated proactively, know the industry better than anyone I've spoken with and more importantly have never been the highest quote we've had to get. If you own a german luxury or performance car - (Mercedes, BMW, Porsche) protect that investment with a family owned operated and hands down most knowledgeable and efficient operation. They fixed our Mercedes impeccably. NOT JUST FOR BODY WORK - DETAILING AND APPEARANCE MAINTENANCE IS THEIR HIDDEN GEM. Most importantly - North Shore provides seasonal detailing services - which had thought ceramic coatings were expensive and overhyped and was educated on what an inexpensive and valuable protective layer that provides showroom shine AND if you're a weekend detailer like me their ceramic coating keeps cars cleaner longer. And if you DON'T detail but take it to a machine wash or assembly line hand wash - Talk to Steve about Ceramic coatings - he dispells the myths and the service is worth EVERY PENNY. Can't say enough good things about these guys and their results.

From start to finish, I felt taken care of by NSAR. They checked me in promptly when many other shops were booked out... and it's not because they aren't busy. They have a warehouse full of cars and yet were able to get me an estimate and move my car repairs forward expediently. I first encountered Alden who got back to me very quickly and explained the process in working with insurance and the likely timeline for repairs. My car was a special situation that required a Mercedes certified repair shop (which they are.) I always felt that they were more concerned with me getting the best outcome than with making a quick buck. They referred me to an attorney that specializes in auto insurance disputes in the event that the settlement and repairs were not fully covered to my satisfaction. At the end of the day, the car damages caused the insurance to total the vehicle. I did get everything I needed from NSAR and the insurance company. I even got to have a chat with Steve (the owner) when I stopped by to clean out the vehicle. If you need a shop in Chicago, look no further. I will definitely use them again if I am ever in need. (Although I hope that will be few and far between.)

Who likes to get their car repaired? Nobody. Do people trust auto repair shops? No. So, a repair can be stressful if there is no trust. I had clipped our Mini and a plastic sidewall got loose and had to be repaired. I called North Shore Auto Rebuilders and David answered the phone. I sent some photos and then drive the car over and was met by Alden. He looked at the damage and said the part should be replaced and why and how much it should cost. A few days later, I drove the car into their very organized shop and waited in their office while they repaired the car. The office is clean, organized and I heard them talk on the phone with respect and empathy. Their bathroom was clean and instrumented with on off lights. They take their business seriously. My repair was fairly small and straightforward. If you cannot do the small things well, how can you do the big things? Consider this local business when your car needs TLC.

These folks saved my life today. My tire on my car this morning went flat from a gigantic screw in my tire. (The 5th tire in my household destroyed by construction dirt or a bad pothole in the city this year). This time the tear was so bad it went down to the rim in about one minute. I had nowhere to go but happened to be on Sheridan Rd and remembered I used this place for body repairs in the past and they were excellent so maybe they’d help me. They were so kind and so happy to swap out my flat tire and refused to take a tip for it. They are amazing. Just when you think the world is not kind anymore it’s people like this that remind you of all the good in the world. Thank you. So much.
