This place is the best. They have an incredible variety and the whole store is organized well, the prices can't be beat, but most of all the customer service is just wonderful. The lovely people who work there are so friendly and helpful.

I've only recently discovered New Rainbow Fabrics, and I have to say they're definitely one of the better in Chicago. The staff is extremely attentive, and for the square footage there is quite a bit of fabric to choose from. My only suggestion would be a better notions section, but there's always JoAnn fabrics for that.

Love this place. The staff is super friendly/helpful, the prices are great and the organization/selection is outstanding. There’s a Joann fabrics right across the street but I don’t even bother, this place has it all!

I went to New Rainbow Fabrics yesterday. I had been looking for cheetah/leopard material for costuming. I needed to match some stuff I had bought at a store in Sacramento, but had no idea what type of material it was. I was so surprised by the volume of different materials, the vivacity of the store owners and material support. It had so much that I needed to costume in a very clean and friendly environment. It was worth the trip and I would encourage anyone I know to go down for costuming especially if you need 4 way stretch fabric for costuming. I hope to do most of my material needs for costumes down at New Rainbow Fabric. THANK YOU SO much. When I found a similar yet even better fabric of cheetah/leopard print, I was overjoyed. Literally I was just rejoicing because I did not want to buy online.

This place was awful! The fabrics were all over the floor.The overall appearance of this place was messy and unorganized with limited colors.This place is large with limited staff and only 1 person spoke English, the person who helped me kept going back for someone to answer my questions, very annoying!If your seeking variety and good customer avoid at all costs!

If you do not want to deal with a place that prices you based on your ethnicity, DO NOT go here. There are NO prices on any of the fabrics. They go by how you LOOK to determine how much to charge you. Expect for the price to differ from what the workers tell you vs what the boss will tell you. The expensive cloth is supposed to be behind her, however she doesn't mind pricing ridiculous on fabric by the door, based on how you LOOK. I'm glad there is a JoAnn's across the street that sell fabric that is priced the same for everyone and with kinder staff.

Go here with my daughter owner of Cherish's Collection whose does amazing one of a kind outfits..the selections are amazing...the personnel are wonderful and friendly...very knowledgeable of the fabrics..

Despite me being a professional costumer for 10+ years, the sales clerk would only speak to my husband, asking him every question. Even after I clarified I was the seamstress he would look at my husband when asking and he even looked to him for the payment. I won’t be back

A beautiful haven of fabric!!!So much better organized than most of the fabric stores I've been to. Despite being on the smaller side, they have an extensive and beautiful assortment of fabrics (especially if you're looking for velvets, satins, neoprene, and glittering fabric). The fabrics are more special/performative than what you'll find at the Joann's across the street. Great for making something for burlesque, ballroom, drag, eveningwear, etc. But very reasonably priced. Staff is extremely friendly as well.

The store was very clean and well-lit. The shelves were well-organized, with fabric bolts very easy to reach. Large selection of special occasion fabrics, with multiple colors in each pattern. It was very easy to find what we were looking for, because bolts were organized by pattern instead of by color. Friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. Got what we needed, will be back soon!

One of the Best fabric stores I've ever been to! Drove all the way from Michigan because I heard it was great, and I was definitely not disappointed. It's not the largest space, but they packed a Ton of high quality fabric at very reasonable prices. I got more fabric than I needed, and I can't wait to start sewing!
