Great little supermarket. I tend to shop Aldi for my core foods for the month. And shop daily and weekly here for produce and deli items or meats that go on special which they do often.

Because my review is NOT hidden, I'm going to say this publicly. I genuinely do not understand why their system is hiding 25 reviews, specifically the positive ones. I have been to this store three more times since I left my last review and wish I could yank all the money I spent at Cermak Fresh Market and dump it here. The fruit is fresh. In a store this small, I'm amazed that they have such a large selection of multicultural food. Although it's not the biggest vegetarian and vegan section, they have every single thing that are priorities for me. And considering I've shied away from prepared and frozen food, some of the things I adamantly wanted before make me no never mind now.I have never had the same cashier twice, and in the four most recent visits, every last one of them has been kind, friendly and helpful. One of my gripes at Cermak was if there was a language barrier, I was treated like a nuisance if they didn't understand what I was asking for or needed. I think two of the four were bilingual, but ALL of them were nice to me.I don't drive there since it's close, but them having a parking lot would come in handy if I was traveling via car. It's a really nice grocery store with quality selections and reasonable pricing compared to other local stores that are competing with big-name supermarket giants. Highly recommended. I contacted Yelp to stop hiding these positive reviews, and the rationale was sorta vague, but hopefully the hidden ones will reappear eventually.

Great place to shop. That is until now. Arrived at 7:50pm on 9/2/23. Doors were locked and cashiers standing at check stands. I knocked on the door and tapped my watch. The cashier only made a sad face to me. Several minutes later a manager came out to lock the parking gate and I explained my disappointment. He apologized and had the nerve to tell me to come on time next time. Very rude and disappointingly. I guess they feel they are safe given they are the only grocery in this area and can treat people any way they wish.

This place has some of the best deals around. The staff are incredibly friendly and it incorporates a lot of different cultures into its aisles. I can find Mexican, Asian/Indian, and Jamaican staples. It's amazing how much they fit into a small spot. Love that they also have a seafood and deli counter, as well as an area for super sale clearance items!

Love this grocery store, I don't know if it's sculpted from the demographics in the area being a pretty diverse area, but this is just a super efficient and very clean grocery store. I honestly always found really good products and selections here from a wide range of cuisines.

They Tetris-cram so much in this store. If you don't see something ask them if they have any in back, especially produce and meat. The meat cooler is stocked with normal products AND beef bones of various kinds, chicken feet, and offal. Great convenient spot if you live in Rogers Park.

Morse Market was my absolute favorite thing about living in Rogers Park. Their meat and produce were of the highest quality available and very affordable. For the size that it is, the selection is good. You may pay a markup on other convenience items like household cleaning products or cooking/baking mixes, but I personally would rather pay a little more for those items than have to drive or get on a train to go to a larger store.Thank you Morse Fresh Market for the many wonderful meals you provided to me and my family. I MISS YOU!!!

Grateful for this neighborhood grocery. Grateful for the service. I know they are subjected to a lot of neighborhood hassle from street people, and they remain kind and no-nonsense. My compliant is not so much with the store staff as much as with the bread for sale. The California Sourdough, which is now astronomically priced at @$5, goes moldy within two-three days. I will no longer purchase it. I tried to complain and return it. I was asked for a receipt. Fair request, but who the heck saves grocery receipts . I've shopped there for long enough for them to know me, so I was a little miffed...

Fresh quality items for sure. Huge selection of meats, fish etc... Watch the prices on some upscale items. Otherwise enjoy your shopping here. Friendly owner. Staff is OK , talk to owner in front of store or manager if you have a question. Lots of good shopping around here.

Gave this store a one star because some of the workers at this place are racist . Not shopping at this store again . That old man greeting people and one of his Mexican helper are racist

For the record; I visit this store at least once/twice a week. For the most part they have a great selection of produce/grocery items and the price is great! But today was not great at all. In fact, I was put in a situation that left me speechless. Not once....not twice... but 3 TIMES this man, said OWNER, name tag reading TED, put his finger in my face, snatched the basket out my possession AND used foul language toward me. I LITERALLY HAD MY HAND OUT IN FRONT STOPPING HIM FROM GETTING CLOSER TO MY FACE. All the meanwhile the other employees watched and one even apologized FOR HIM! After asking 3 EMPLOYESS for a contact number to discuss what happened I was told there was no one to contact. Now i happen to think the saying "The customer is always right" is bs! No way is the customer ALWAYS right...... but I'm from Chicago. I Am a Women. And in any other situation I woulda felt like I needed to protect myself. It's never OK to put your hands on someone.... I don't care how old you are! Unacceptable. Unprofessional. Ungrateful for my buisness. Unfortunate. This "70 year old" Man should know better. It's not my job to tell a Man how to be a Man.

Great little neighborhood market with everything you need at low prices. Want to say an extra thank you to the Owner/manager who's always in the front of the store by the registers. He's always so nice and helpful. You don't get kindness or personal interactions like that at Whole Foods, etc. & it means a lot. Thank you Morse Market!

You can't depend on this store to be open when they say they will be. They closed 10 minutes earlier all the time, and have closed early twice after I called in to ask if they were open and what time they close. They also used covid. As an excuse to close early and never opened back up with normal hours. Their cereal prices are outrageous too. Average cereal cost is like $5. Nobody buys that I bet and their food gets stale.
