TLDR- unprepared, charged items not used, didnt give me an invoice, manager never reached out, then ghosted me
It seems to me that they either intentionally quote you for the bare minimum to reel people in with cheap quotes, or the ‘team’ (2ppl) I got was just insanely inefficient. Some things are more efficient to ‘divide and conquer’ to get done, but some things are easier to do together. It was super inefficient to have 1 person working on the bedframe & 1 person working on moving the console table & couch. In total, it took them 5 hours to do this. I saw someone else mention not to book them unless you have the time to stand over their shoulder and watch- which I agree. They claim to have needed 9 rolls of tape- but they didnt even take 9 pieces of furniture!!
The asked to use my tools and my ziplock bags for keeping screws together (they should have already brought both), needed my help disassembling the bed frame, needed my help removing the tv from the wall, asked if I wanted to bring the tv mount to my next apartment and then they didnt even bring it.
I provided my own tv box from Uhaul, and the mover said he’d ‘rather use the company’s box because its better’. Failed to mention that theyre going to charge me $30 because *he* wanted to use it.
I was going to go with Allegiance because I received a ton of good recommendations, but ended up choosing Moovers because they quoted me half the price. In the end, I was charged almost triple what I was quoted for. If I could, I would go back in time to book Allegiance because they moved my boyfriend’s *entire* apartment in an hour less than they quoted him for (quoted 3, done in 2), while Moovers took 3 additional hours for me (quoted 2, done in 5), and it wasnt even a full apartment move! Only moved my bed, bedframe, tv, console table, couch, rug, and 1 small table. NO OTHER ITEMS. Extremely inefficient.
After being charged, I was told Id get an invoice to my email. Never got it, so I had to reach out for one. After commenting on the additional items I was charged for that weren't used, I was told that somebody would reach out to me in 24-48 hours. After 5 days, I once again had to reach out because nobody contacted me.
A manager eventually reached out, but decided to stop responding when I asked about the 9 rolls of tape.
Overall, extremely dissatisfied from the service, unnecessary charges, and major lack of customer service. I really hope it was just a fluke and nobody else gets this kind of experience

Really great movers! Would definitely suggest their services. They worked very fast. And they even let my boyfriend help load and unload the truck, and use their straps for lifting heavy items.

I cannot say enough great things about the Moovers.
From the initial contact we had with Sonja, the Moovers were clear, honest and direct in their communications .
My dad was moving from the Chicago area to Wisconsin. He had a cancellation with what he thought was a reliable, national company . The Moovers stepped up in a stressful situation. They moved us with 3 days notice! The group of men were Eric, Brandon and Gregg. They were all a pleasure to work. As a strong team, the guys packed up my dad's household efficiently . We did not have to share the clean and organized truck with anyone else. The unloading went smoothly. The men were patient with the placement of the items and assembled everything that needed it. They didn't flinch when we asked them to make placement changes. Everything arrived in perfect shape . Plastic was laid down which kept the rugs clean . We had a super experience with the "Moovers" company, specifically Eric ,Brandon and Gregg.

Absolutely *PHENOMENAL* work by Carlos, Daniel, and Manolo of MOOvers Chicago!!! They arrived well on time, were better prepared than I was, and took better care of my belongings than I ever would have! Not a single glass was broken or item lost... just *PERFECTION*!!! Moreover, these three gentlemen from MOOvers Chicago were accommodating, gracious, and patient beyond their call of duty. For instance, the elevator that I had reserved in advance could not be reserved on the date of my move, because of unexpected unavailability of knowledgeable staff in my building (the substitute employee at the front desk had no idea how to reserve the elevator on my behalf). Notwithstanding, these three gentleman valiantly packed and transported all of my belongings downstairs and into their truck without missing a beat! I am mightily impressed and profoundly grateful to the all-star team at MOOvers Chicago for ensuring the total success of my move. Cheers to you, MOOvers Chicago!

We had a great experience with Chicago Moovers.My 92 year old father was moving from Chicago suburbs to Madison, Wisconsin. 2 days before his move we changed from Mayflower moving company to Chicago Moovers. Starting with Sonia in the office making it happen so quickly and effortlessly was a blessing. The 3 movers , Erick, Brandon and Gregg weee wonderful. They made sure and wrap everything expertly and fit everything in the truck. When we got to Madison they unloaded and unwrapped everything. All of my family would highly recommend this company and their workers. It made a tough move for my father who lost his wife of 68 years very easy

Jorge and Jaime went above and beyond for my out of state move! After getting quotes from a number of different moving companies in the area, MOOvers Chicago gave me the best price point. Would highly recommend to anyone moving within the Chicago area or even out of state.

I was anxious. I didn’t know what to expect but George and his team mate calm my nerves down. Upon arrival George said to me “we’re here for you, we’ll take care of your property just like ours and to work very efficiently to save you money”. George and his team mates did just that . I moved to Storage and George make sure things were stores professionally. I mean, I have space to walk to look for things If I need to in my storage.
My electronics , furnitures and boxes were wrapped with blankets and siren wrapped. Thank you Thank you and Thank you so much Guys. George, Edwardo and Araldo. I look forward working with you all in future.
