Stay away from this place at all costs. Once I've received a Mont Blanc fountain pen as a gift and brought it here for service. Because the gift was purchased in a non-English speaking country, the representative couldn't recognize some label on it and burst out expletives "what is this". Pretty annoying. Fast forward a few years now I've purchased an automatic watch from a Mont Blanc boutique in Europe and have been bringing my watch here for service after coming home to Chicago. So far the watch has stopped working multiple times and each time after I bring it in, they claim they have replaced all the internal parts but then again the watch starts having problems soon after the repair. After the latest repair, it has already stopped working even when I went to pick it up! And now examining the watch again, they claim it has been under "hard impact" and want to charge nearly $1K to fix it. If ever there was any hard impact, it could have only happened under the care of Mont Blanc since I never even touched it between the two repairs! Still they refuse to either refund or replace the product when it clearly has a major quality issue. During the two years after the purchase, the watch has spent more time under repair than on my wrist. If this is considered normal by the company, I think this brand doesn't care about its own reputation, standard, or customers at all. I will never purchase anything from this store or other stores of Mont Blanc again.

I got a call from Gabriel where he let me know that I have a $20 credit that he missed from my prior visit. I had to get a pen and pencil serviced. Spent a lot of money for the service. I get my pen back with a blue refill. I call Gabriel and asked him if he can send me a black refill cause that's what I prefer. HE proceeds to LIE to me and say it's the same refill that i brought it in with. It didn't even have one. He replies and says that I can purchase a refill. I just spent almost $300 for pen servicing, and LOST the $20 credit. and he can't even spare a ink refill. last time I'm going there.

Even though I didn't buy anything during my visit, Gabriel took his time with me and answered all of my questions and made me feel welcome at this location. He clearly has a passion for what he does and when the right pen becomes available I will absolutely be back to purchase from him.

I am giving the store a one out of five stars because the service provided by management and I'm concerned the quality of Mont Blanc maybe declining.I spent nearly $900 for a fountain pen that is less robust than a $17 Pilot fountain pen. I sincerely hope this is a one-off mistake and future purchases will be built with the quality that made Mont Blanc a household name. Even more infuriating, after being in constant contact with the Chicago store about issues I had with the pen since the first two weeks and following their advice to "break in the nib", they refused to send me a new pen once the pen started consistently skipping letters!I want to first say that I have always been enamored by Montblanc fountain pens. It presents so well. The pen is unreal and you can see the quality in the materials. I had Gabriel help me and he did a fantastic job.About two weeks into using the pen it started acting funny. The pen sometimes wrote extremely wet and other times extremely dry, even skipping letters. I called the store and spoke to a man (don't recall his name) and he assured me that the nib needed to be broke in. However, after a couple months, the pen was writing even worse and skipping letters. Please see the pictures below. The first is after 1 month the second is after 3 months.When I called the store they assisted me in trouble shooting the pen. Then asked me to send the pen to them. I told them that I would happily send in the pen but I wanted a new pen in return. I felt since I had been in contact from the beginning about issues I experienced, they would send me a new pen. The manager refused to send me a new pen and said that the pen must be sent-off for an assessment.I sent the pen in and then called a week later to see if they received it. When I spoke to the manager and she confirmed they did receive the pen. However, she told me she would be unable to tell me how long the assessment would take. She told me some things have been in assessment and repair for 10 days and others 9 months!The standards set by the Chicago store are not the standards which made Mont Blanc a household name.

You can park at the 900 N Michigan shops garage, and if you validate it, its only 10$ for 3hrs. The staff was really nice and extremely friendly. We ended up getting the “Around the world in 80 days” limited edition roller ball pen.

Been getting gifts and my pens taken care of here for the longest. Ask for Gabriel, he's super knowledgeable and is great at making sure if you bring something in for repair it gets taken care of and with updates.

The service was excellent. The store has a good variety of Montblanc pens, and inks, as well as watches, and other office items. They have pens available for testing, to find what best suits each customer. The pen I tried wrote beautifully. Gabriel did a lovely job of wrapping the gifts I purchased. If you're looking for quality pens (fountain, ballpoint, or rollerball), Montblanc is the place to shop.

Excellent customer service. Brought in an old pen I bought decades ago. Staff helped me by providing a cloth to bring it back to brand new condition. Also gave me information on what's current with Mont Blanc. Very easy experience. Also was nice to get validation for my car
