I have loved all of my fittings here. As a man with absolutely no good taste in clothing I was so grateful for the staff that talked me out of a hideous tux choice and into something classy and well appointed. I've been back a few times and will continue to go here for dress up help from the professionals!

Fay is amazing. I came for a last minute tux fitting and rental. They specialize in rushed service and they have dry cleaning and pressing on site. You need an appointment but can still get one the same day. Attentive service. Care for every detail. Plenty of communication during the fitting, talking through what would look best on me. It's so nice to pay for a service and have someone genuinely put your needs first. I had a perfectly fit and pressed tux in hand and out of the door in less than 45 minutes. Highest recommendation! Thank you!

I had to get my tuxedo pants hemmed. It was very easy to set up an appointment. They were able to measure me quickly and hemmed my pants in a timely manner. It was great quality. The service was affordable. They did an excellent job and would go back and recommend.

Of all our wedding vendors, Monitor was my favorite. As a bigger guy, I went to countless other tux shops which either didn't have my size, or were not flattering at all. I went to Monitor and immediately felt amazing. Julie helped me get two tuxes that I looked, and felt good in. We had a unique wedding situation, and they were so flexible with pick-up times, drop-off dates, and even ordered a custom tux for a Vegas vow renewal.I can't say enough good things about Monitor, and highly recommend them for Chicago weddings.

Not that I have a lot of tailor-made experiences, but I feel this went above and beyond what I could have expected. Our host was insanely knowledgeable and accommodating; and because reservations are required we got undivided attention. They were able to offer recommendations/knew what went with what. It was just overall a really good experience. I would highly recommend anyone to check this place out.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. NO DETAIL MISSED.My husband's family has been renting tux's from here ever since they've been open. When it came time for us to get married we went to Mens Warehouse, JoS A Bank and another boutique tux shop all in Virginia where we live. All were expensive and didn't provide much care or hands on service. We knew of Monitor and decided to wait until 3 days before our wedding when we knew we'd be in Chicago so that we could go here, and I do not regret it at all (even though I was stressing..what if they didn't have his sizes!). The service we were provided was unmatched. We were there for an hour as she made sure everything was perfect, I cannot recommend this place enough. As others have said, she paid attention to every single detail. She knew my husband's sizes without even asking him. She showed us black tux options, explained why we should go with each, what was more traditional vs. what people tend to wear today. We tried on 2 styles and she made recommendations based on how each fit. She wanted everything to be perfect, so we tried on multiple pairs of pants to find the best fit, multiple shirts to make sure it wasn't too baggy and the neck fit right, multiple sizes of the jackets - I was amazed. We could try on the bow tie, the cumber-bun, the cufflinks - none of the other places we went to did any of this. She did the alterations on site and we left with the tux that day. None of the other places provided alterations to a rental. She even let us wear a new shirt instead of an old one. She pressed everything before packaging it up for us. I can't believe it.This place is also really nice! There are multiple rooms to try clothes on. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH! GO HERE!!!!!!

They were able to fit me in last minute for a same day rental. Everyone at the black tie event loved my whole outfit. Very reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be back!

I had bad experience of this place today i came here with my bf due to a good review but sadly our experience iwas terrible. Let me start by saying we made an appointment for tux fitting at 11am for today through their website and it was confirmed by Julie Rayan. We went there and the place was close, they have dry cleaning place next door so we went there instead and ask the lady in counter about next door she said to wait she has to ask someone who is assign there. So we waited. Then the lady that supposedly assign there ( i think that was Julie ) came in and that other lady ask her about us for our 11am appointment she snapped and rudely said she does not have any appointment at 11a without even looking at us and went inside. We had an emailed to confirmed about our appointment. So we left we wasted our time, i hate writing bad review especially in a small business but that lady is rude and unprofessional.

I had gained weight during Covid and had nothing I felt comfortable in to wear to my wife's work Christmas party. I looked online to find a place where I could rent a suit and found Monitor Formalwear.I called and Julie could not have been friendlier. She got me in within a couple of hours for measurements and immediately brought out the perfect suit for me. It looked and felt great. Trying on clothes is never easy when you've put on weight, but this was actually enjoyable and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.The Christmas party was a success because I felt great in what I was wearing! I ended up buying the suit and they even deducted the rental cost from the purchase price.Cannot recommend this place more!

I apologize for my tardiness. My fiancé (at the time) and I were looking tuxedos for our upcoming wedding and photo shoot. We reached out to monitor formal wear and explained we our. vision. Not only we were attendee on the spot but treated so kindly. Just after one hour we were fitted and given instructions on pick up and drop off. Honestly would recommend if you are looking for formal wear. The shop owner was friendly and paid attention to detail Thank you

I would give 100 stars if I could! Everything was perfect!! The cost, the costumer service, the tux, the experience, the time, the pick up, the drop off, literally everything. There is not one issue I had at all when getting a tux for my brothers prom!! I would recommend this place to every and anybody!!

My husband and I decided to elope and were in need of a specific color tux (burgundy). We initially went to a different shop who didn’t have that color and were going to choose something else. Thankfully, I did a quick search of other tux shops in the area and Monitor came up. We walked up and were accommodated immediately even though we didn’t have an appointment. The customer service was A1 and we ended up with the exact color suit we wanted. My husband got so many compliments! Would definitely recommend their services!
