Beautiful views of the city. Excellent place to get lazy and enjoy the views. Nice pit stop after a good bike ride. What a beautiful city we have ?

Wonderful park to sit and relax, or go for a walk or run while enjoying lovely views of the skyline. I did paid street parking on E Ohio St, it was 9.5$ for 2 hours. Then i did a short walk through the Ohio St. underpass to get to the park. The park is beautiful, its so pretty with wonderful beach and skyline views. There are a few benches where you can sit and appreciate the beauty of the lake and Chicago skyline. The sunset views are really pretty. There are also spots to setup your hammock.

Swaths of green lawn gently undulate between the fountains, setting the pools at subtly different levels. The pattern of circular fountains and connecting paths becomes apparent when viewed from the nearby high-rise buildings along Lake Shore Drive. The park also features a statue, Hymn to Water, by Milton Horn. On June 19, 1966, the City of Chicago posthumously dedicated the park to PFC Milton Lee Olive, III (1946-1965), the first African American recipient of the Medal of Honor in the Vietnam War. Along with the Art Institute of Chicago’s South Garden and Navy Pier, Olive Park is one of three Kiley landscapes in Chicago.Milton Lee Olive III (November 7, 1946 – October 22, 1965) was a United States Army soldier and a recipient of America's highest military decoration — the Medal of Honor — for his actions in the Vietnam War. At the age of 18, Olive sacrificed his life to save others by falling on a grenade. He was the first African-American recipient of the Medal of Honor from the Vietnam War (Wikipedia)

This is a top skyline location for family photos, engagement photos, and wedding photos. Must See! It's also next to a beach which is awesome!

Hidden gem of Chicago, my favorite park in Chicago. Stunning view of the skyline and great place to catch the practice air show. Park is in need of maintenance, but overall it’s an amazing park, not much crowded even during summer. Definitely a good place for a photo shoot as well.

A previously hidden gem; a green expanse in the middle of a concrete jungle. Amazing spot for engagement photos, fishing (technically not allowed), picnics, walks, and becomes an unofficial off leash dog park at times. For active dog owners in particular this park is a godsend

The park is closed for a long-term construction project. They will attempt to open it certain currently unknown hours with limited access as the construction allows. I called the Jardine Water Purification Plant to find out this information, since the water department, not the parks department, owns it.We are planning a trip to Chicago and are so sad for one of the best free skyline views to be closed, but hopeful it is getting the love and upgrade it deserves as a historical monument park.

This is our (my dog + me) favorite place to go for a walk. It offers a beautiful view of the city. Does anyone know why it’s now locked up with a sign saying closed until further notice? I hope it reopens. It has enough space for shy dogs to walk without disturbance while also offering the space for friendly dogs to mingle and play. Truly we love it and I’m sure we’ve invaded dozens of proposal pictures here because it really does have some of the most beautiful views in the city! Please reopen soon❤️

I love this place, the atmosphere of the morning is so fresh, the sun that shines on the skyscrapers of Chicago is so beautiful.

Almost hidden out of sight is this park that lies just north of Navy Pier, but is surrounded by the Ohio Street Beach to the west, Jane Addams Memorial Park to the south, and a water treatment plant to the east. The premises are mostly fenced off from the beach, although they provide nice views of it and the skyline in the background (come here in the morning if you want to avoid backlit photos). There's a pathway along the western edge that's partially shaded, while the grounds to the east are wide open, with five large circular plazas that might look like concrete crop circles most of the year but actually transform into walk-in water fountains in the warmer months. So, in the summer, this is a nice, kid-friendly way to cool off without getting sand in your shoes.

Captain Bob loves this beach. When they constructed the Jardine filtration plant in the 60s, this beach naturally formed.
