Good luck navigating this mess of a designed store. If you walk, you have to wind around and figure out that most of groceries are upstairs. And when you check out, there is NO NAVIGATION TO GET OUT. You are basically stuck to walk back through the whole store the same way backwards that you come in or figure out the mess of a parking lot if you drive.

I love shopping at Mariano's. When i need information the employee's are very knowledgeable and very polite. It has a pleasant atmosphere and it looks very clean.

One of the best Mariano's locations in Chicago! This store is easy to navigate, is well stocked, and its checkouts are easy breezy. If you have a question, associates are available and eager to assist.
The customer service representative, Taylor, was super helpful when I needed help with the price of an item.The manager, Steven, was even walking around making sure that everyone was doing okay and checking stock. This store is excellent!

I had a VERY unpleasant experience with the bar attendant Luisa. Yesterday I purchased two drinks from the bar, which totaled $13 & I paid in cash. I returned sometime later to purchase one more drink - this time I paid with my card. After receiving my one drink, checking out & then reviewing my receipt. I noticed she charged me $13 again for two drinks.
When I went back to the counter to question why there were two drinks on my receipt, she stated that she undercharged me the first time and put the difference on this transaction. I then asked her why didn't know let me know of that information "before" charging my card? Which is a valid question!!! She could've easily stated, "Ma'am unfortunately I undercharged you by mistake last time, is it okay if I charge the difference?" I also inquired on how was I mischarged, the price difference, etc. and she was very rude to me within explaining.
She was short with me, rude, unapologetic, not understanding, and I didn't appreciate this at all. And when I asked to speak to a manger, she kept stating that I had a "problem" & she painted me out to be the problematic customer/angry black woman and threatened to call security? This is where I became frustrated.
Her manager Manny soon came down & was very patient in the matter, but I did not receive a refund, any courtesy regarding anything, etc. Although the price isn't necessarily the issue, I was treated unfairly and that is not how paying customers are supposed to be treated!!! What if I hadn't returned to purchase again? What if I were to bring exact change again?
I did call corporate, but I still didn't feel as though anything would be done (and if so, it'd be without my knowledge) so....
PLEASE BE CAREFUL with this bar attendant and CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! She may undercharge you by mistake and if you return, charge her mistake without your knowledge to your card &/or give you incorrect change.

The place seems to be managed by incompetent people. The employees are awesome. The mens bathroom has same light been out for a month. No toilet paper or broken holder.

Does not validate parking tickets under 2 hours as sign says. Customers ignored my presence. Will not be returning ever!!

Sold me bad salmon. Layout is terrible as others have said, checkout took forever, and for whatever reason the same meal was about $15 more expensive versus other locations.

I really like this Mariano’s, it’s big, has lots of food options and the staff is nice. My two complaints are there just aren’t enough baskets laying around the store. I always have to walk through the check out lanes to get a basket to begin shopping. Then recently when I was shopping I asked an employee where 2 things were, they were pretty general items like guacamole, and she just told me she didn’t know. I then had to check the Mariano’s website to see where my items were. I just feel that the staff should be able to point me in a general direction of where guacamole could be.

Give up and close already. The disinvestment of this location by corporate is criminal. It was a flagship when it opened and now half of the store goes unused. Today there were no shopping carts to be found and the place wasn't even busy. The staff have gotten the memo that corporate has given up on the location. So do everyone a favor and pack it up and leave already!
