we went for minor home repair items and greeted at door, asked twice in aisles if needed assistance. One sales associate left his area and walked three aisles down to not only direct us to our sought item then advised on the best product from the variety. Great store!

Do not hire them for home installation, they are a total nightmare to do business with. I hired them to install an interior door and I really regret it.

I called about replacing a wall oven. The salesman was nice. We agreed the space would need measurements before proceeding. He contacted a group called CRST Home solutions. An appointment was scheduled. The appointment was canceled by the installer. A new appointment was scheduled. In the mean time, I realized the install could involve a problem with the cook top. The next time I was contacted by the CRST person to come to my apartment, I explained my situation and canceled the appointment. I keep getting NOREPLY emails, calls, and text alerting me to a new time for installation. I've called the number, stayed on hold for 15 minutes because they are experiencing high volume calls. They suggest in their message to use their chat session on line. SAME THING! WE ARE BUSY. WE APOLOGIZE. I DONT KNOW WHO TO BE MAD AT. LOWES FOR PUTTING ME IN CONACT WITH THESE BOZO HEADS, OR CRST HOME SOLUTIONS. Either way. I am not in line to ever to business with Lowe's again. They take the hit. Sorry Lowe's.

Worked with Ted M. who covers projects (windows, in my case) for most of the Chicago and northern burb locations and it was a pretty and sad experience that hurt Lowe's forever in my book. Ted had a great pitch, we agreed to get pricing for both wood and vinyl. Sent a price that wasn't too bad, but 7 days later (after numerous polite follow-ups) I asked if there was room on the wood (more expensive options). He said "sure, see attached" and I noticed the pricing had changed, but it looked more expensive. So I went back to the original quote, surprise surprise, the link was expired. Thankfully I saved a copy so I did some quick math and turns out Ted *raised* prices across the board. The vinyl option went up 10% in only a few days but the kicker was the wood, which I asked if they had any room on, went up 14%...lol. Incredibly shady to assume this would not be catched. Only when I called this out did I get the "well, inflation bla bla bla". Do not use these dishonest people. If you absolutely have to, save physical copies. Not that it will help you on your project, but so you can write a review like this for the next person. Incredibly dishonest Lowe's and Ted do business in this way. FYI, Home Depot honors quotes for 30 days and never would pull a shady move like this. You've been warned!

this place really needs to hire people or make it easier for customers to get the items they need. I came in to get some cinderblocks or stones was appointed by two employees at a empty pallet and was instructed to find the person driving the pallet who is nowhere around to get cinderblocks or stones from outside because customers don't have access to the outside area so needless to say I didn't get my cinderblocks and I wasn't going to spend 30 minutes chasing somebody in at the store that doesn't exist or a couple cinder blocks ended up just going to Menards access to the garden center

I came looking for some fixtures and some whatnot. The first surprise was just kind of a "huh", because it seemed like they had more "veterans parking" (what is this?) than disabled spots. Maybe I miscounted, but it's a choice.More disappointingly, when I went into the store only a single person in the entire store even acknowledged my presence. I wish I had gotten the guy's name, because I would have sent Lowe's feedback that he was helpful--but then again, asking a customer whom you pass if they need help is literally the bare minimum. I saw easily a dozen other employees walking around or in the aisles and no one else offered help. They didn't have what I wanted--apparently it was something you had to order for pickup at a later date or for shipping to your home. Between the lack of help, not having one of the major items I wanted in-store, and being unable to find the cheap faceplates (I found some $3 plates but I just wanted the cheap white metal ones!), I decided to pack it up and leave.

Full disclaimer, I didn't buy anything here, just browsed so giving them a perfect five stars would feel wrong. I was just browsing and I really appreciate this location because there aren't that many Lowe's in the city. I only see them out in the suburbs. It feels like Home Depot has the upper hand in terms of number of locations. This location seems well organized and employees seem laid back or busy. It's smaller than most Home Depots but it has a regular parking lot in a busy part of the city. I appreciate that I don't have to venture under ground or drive up hill ignoring my irrational fear that my car will roll backwards if I don't gas it to get to some cramped city parking lot. I was just looking at plants, eyeing my next kill. I got a brown thumb, it use to be green but I over watered it. It's a small plant section but seemed to be free of gnats and wanna be spider-mans who confuse the apple trees with the big apple. Check it out if you feel plants will help you cope with some stress.

I tried to be very chill and patient but I can't do it anymore, so fuck it. They sold me a defective shower head, which happens and is not the end of the world. The manufacturer agreed to replace it but I'd still be out a couple hundred bucks for a reinstall. It took a few calls to get to a manager who said he'd take care of it and long story short I've called at least a total of ten times including to corporate and even emailed them the invoice I already paid out of pocket because who can wait this long to replace their leaking shower head and they haven't done jack shit. If it was less money I would've called it a long time ago but they've also promised me like five separate times now that they'd take care of this. Just spent another 40 minutes on hold to get hung up on and the only way to reach corporate in 2022 is by yet another maddening phone call. Brb dying mad.

Their new mobile order and locker system is great. Super fast in and out for small items.

I had a pretty rough experience getting blinds through this Lowes. On my initial visit when I ordered the blinds I had a lovely experience. I picked out the blinds I wanted, paid, and left feeling confident the experience would be smooth and I would have saved lots of money on blinds and have peace of mind with the installation. The trouble started when the blinds arrived. Mind you, this was July 2020, at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic when shipping and delivery schedules were all messed up and everything was taking longer to order, process, ship, deliver, etc. The blinds came when Lowe's said they would, but when the installers got to my house to put up the blinds, I noticed that 2 of the blinds that were shipped were not the right color and style I ordered. The installer told me he would report it to his boss, and for me to follow up with Lowes and they would reorder the right blinds and the manufacturer would expedite the reorder and remanufacturing so I could get the correct blinds asap. Here begins my 5 month long ordeal with Lowes trying to get my blinds. I was shuffled around between associates (the original associate I had been working with was out on medical leave) and no one seemed to be able to provide me with a clear answer about what was going on with my order and there was ZERO follow up by anyone. I did get the blinds reordered during that time around early November and the associate assured me that the blinds would be delivered by late December (weird, I thought, that Xmas time would be the time they can get it together with their manufacturing and shipping since that is a very heavy traffic time for shipping). Well, it turns out I should have trusted my gut because not only did I not receive a single phone call or email updating me about my order from Lowe's, the manufacturer put my blinds on back order and didn't even start making my blinds at all! So the holidays go by and I am in my home and I thought, hmm, I haven't heard about those blinds in a while. I chalked it up to holiday business and allowed them until the end of January to be delivered (I didn't know at that time that they hadn't even begun to be manufactured and that No One at Lowe's had the foresight to check in with my about whether the blinds had been delivered so that they could follow up with the manufacturer. Again, no call, no email, they didn't slide into my insta DMs, nothing. Cut to February 2021, I am selling my condo March 30th, 2021, and I need those blinds in asap before I sell the home. I am under contract and everything so I need this done. I call Lowe's, where both of the associates I talk to begin our interactions with "Well I wasn't working on this file..." (A quick, unsolicited tip on customer service, DON'T EVER DO THAT! It is infuriating and not at all helpful. I don't care if you weren't working on the file before, you are now. All that says to me is you know someone screwed up big time and you're trying to distance yourself from the screwup. Not a cute look, and it really rubbed me the wrong way.) Here enters Amari, the new manager of the Home Decor Dept. and the reason for a 4 star review. She got on the phone with me, found out what the issue was, and reached out to the manufacturer to get my blinds working and delivered to me. She followed up twice with me in the weeks I was waiting for my blinds to be delivered. It was a nail biter, but the correct blinds were eventually delivered and installed before I sold my property and all was well. She even said to follow up with her after the installation and that she would look at what compensation she could offer for the less that perfect transaction and the extra headache I had to endure. While not exactly necessary, since I believe in paying for what I order, I viewed it as Lowe's compensating me for my time lost being on the phone and dealing with this issue for hours and hours over 5 months. Overall, I am satisfied with the conclusion of this long journey. It had many bumps and
