I love coming under here to see the cool looking Art Work on these screens. I had no idea that it was on both sides of the screens. Glad to see this. If you don't take a picture of this it gets ruined by graffiti. Which happened to the last group of this wonderful Art. But it makes me feel happy to put something in this empty space.

I got a Yelp email giving me a heads up, so we decided to check out. First, I'm biased. I love the Southport area. Unfortunately most of the vendors were closing up for the day when I arrive. The few that were opened had sone great stuff. Artisanal cheese and bread vendors. Are variety of vegetable vendors with one with a multiple varieties of garlic. Oh there's was one really great shop which was a combination of vintage style and a whole bunch the owner designed. I need to get there early next time when all the vendors are stocked and open, you should too!

When I was commuting, this was a great way to pick up a handful of fresh ingredients on the way home to prepare a meal after work. It was small, but I appreciated the variety of vendors that were a nice blend of true farmers and more upscale, niche product creators. Prices were always decent, and it was fun to hear a bit of music and see people milling about from the neighborhood. The only downside is that the El is very noisy, so sometimes it was a bit much for kids.

It was Sunday, and I needed some fresh lemons, oranges, and apples. Thankfully, one of my friends told me about this farmer's market, and there I was able to buy all those things that I wanted. The prices are not that high, and they have it all, and also, the folks around here are really amazing. I will definitely come back here and buy some more! Thanks!
