I have gotten 5+ suits/blazers tailored by their team despite having most of thoae tailored before through another tailor. Their team was able to make it fit and look right and as it shouldve been with my prior tailor. I highly recommend checking them out if you live in the Avondale neighborhood.”

“My first time having my laundry washed and folded for me was here and it was a breeze. The guy who works here is super sweet and always has a smile on his face. It’s super fast turn around and I never wait more than a day for my laundry to be done, usually about 5 hours. It’s really great pricing as well and we’ve come back quite a few times because of the amazing service.”

“Avoid 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays if you are not homeless. Nice, clean, well maintained place. It would be nice if they had coat hooks in the restrooms. A ministry comes at 4 p.m. on Saturday and pays for laundry for the homeless. They have a sermon from 4:30 to 5:30, then feed and provide supplies to the homeless.”

“Fine neighborhood laundromat. Lots of machines; very few out of service. Plenty of chairs inside and out (even a rocking chair!) and reading materials; blessedly NO television or music! Parking lot just outside.A mega-laundry is almost open just down the block, so I hope this place can hang on!”
“Cosmetically, it could use a little TLC, but it's still good Laundromat. Never had an issue getting a WC/D and they all seem to work well. For me I can walk here so that's a plus for me. The employees are always really helpful and friendly.”

“Provided a good wash and fold service which was much cheaper than doing it at the hotel (but still a bit pricey - maybe I am just used to european prices). That said they got the clothes washed, dried and folded properly and they did it to the agreed timeframe so no complaints!”
“October 1st 2023: Friendly Wash is my favorite place to go to do laundry. The ladies that work there are SO friendly, kind and accomodating. If you need a cup for quaters from the machine, a key to the washroom or a chair to sit in because your disabled, they are quick to get it. The only thing I'd improve on is the place could use more seats, but they accomodate you if your an older person and disabled. I just ask politely and have always gotten a seat...The employees here are wonderful and although an occasional machine or two may be out, 99.9% of the machines works and are up and running. This is the best laundry mat to come to compared to local laundry mats in the neighboorhood where the laundry machines are all out and they don't clean regularly....this is a very clean facility by the way. Not much food in the vending machine, but that is a small price to pay for the top notch service. I come here to do laundry, not to snack..so I don't mind the snack vending machine. Their is soda at least and a convience store across the street.... UPDATE OCTOBER 31st, 2023: Friendly Wash got a new vending machine, and it's packed with a wonderful array of chips, candy, snacks and beverages. What an exciting addition to the business!”
“My husband needed a suit dry cleaned in very short order to be one of the pallbearers at the funeral of a very close friend who died unexpectedly just before Christmas. It was an incredibly heart wrenching and stressful time and Wicker Park Cleaners was very helpful and sympathetic to our plight – we were able to get the suit the morning of the funeral, with a couple of hours to spare.”
“Quality alterations at a reasonable price. I brought them a pair of outdoor cushions that needed ties sewn on and they got them done quickly and economically--and even chose a matching color palette although I'd told them the ties wouldn't show and the color didn't matter. I will definitely use Princess again.”
