We booked a hotel block and our rooms for our July 2024 wedding back when it was the Kimpton Monaco. Luckily, when the hotel transferred ownership, our hotel block and existing reservations were all honored our experience was fantastic all around! The staff was so helpful with booking our wedding hotel block and there was no financial obligation if our block wasn't filled. Quick and easy to set up and book as well. For the "bridal suite", I booked a King 1 bedroom riverview suite and it was so luxurious and spacious with a fabulous view of the river! It had a nice sitting room, a huge bedroom with cozy window seats in every window and a large and bright bathroom with lot's of counter space. The amenities in the room like the refrigerator, coffee maker, face masks, yoga mat and air purifier were appreciated as well. We had tons of space that perfectly fit two makeup artists, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms and myself for getting ready and the hotel staff were helpful in bringing in extra tables and chairs for the artists. There were more than enough outlets as well. Things got a touch crowded once my 2 photographers and 3 person videographer team showed up along with my coordinator, but we all still fit!!
When checking in the night of our rehearsal dinner I had a ton of luggage and was stressed out about getting places on time but the valet and front desk staff were incredibly helpful in assisting with bringing my wedding dress and luggage up to my room as I checked in and with helping my mom valet her car. They were extra accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay for our wedding feel special and even upgraded my husband's room to a better view when he checked in! I could not be more grateful for the L7 staff, they truly were the best. When we came back from our wedding, I think they were going to offer us free food but we were so exhausted we just went straight upstairs so sadly didn't get the chance to talk with the front desk too much.
Sleeping in the room was clean, cozy and comfortable and the hallways were nice and quiet. Friday night there was a lot of traffic and people outside so I could hear that in the riverview suite but the blackout curtains, white noise from the air purifier and wearing earplugs helped block all of that out. We did get breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and although pricey, it was absolutely delicious.
I cannot recommend this place enough whether you're visiting Chicago or looking for a hotel for your wedding! We plan on coming back to stay next year for our anniversary because we loved it so much.

This hotel is a gem. The design and the little things they think of make the hotel a 5 out of 5

I had a highly frustrating experience at L7 by Lotte in Chicago. After a grueling 16-hour flight, we arrived early with our 5-year old daughter & 2-year-old son, who was running a fever. We politely requested an early check-in, and were told we were first in line. However, despite coming back just 15 minutes before the official check-in time at 2:45 PM, our room was still not ready.
When we asked for an estimated time, Jovan and especially Courtney at the front desk were unhelpful and rude. Courtney, in particular, was dismissive and mocked us for requesting an exact check-in time and expressing concern for our sick child. Their lack of empathy and professionalism was astonishing. They refused to provide any meaningful update or timeline, which only compounded our frustration.
As front desk employees are the face of the hotel and significantly shape the first impression of the establishment, it is crucial for management to address these issues. There are many good things about this hotel, Antonio we exceptionally nice & helpful, however, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

During our four-day stay at this hotel, which was primarily for work, we enjoyed a pleasant experience overall. We were fortunate to be assigned a room with a picturesque river view and a charming little nook that added a touch of coziness to our stay. The room itself was comfortable and well-appointed, though the thin walls did mean we could occasionally hear activity from the hallways and neighboring rooms.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, contributing positively to our experience. The hotel features a welcoming lobby area that serves as a great workspace, and the Wi-Fi was consistently strong and reliable, which was crucial for our work needs.
Additionally, the hotel's prime location across from the Trump Tower placed us right in the heart of downtown Chicago. We found it conveniently close to a wide variety of excellent restaurants and local attractions. This central location made it easy to explore the city's vibrant dining scene and cultural hotspots.

Amazing hotel to stay when you’re in Chicago. Great esthetics throughout the hotel. The window seats in the rooms were an extra bonus! The bathrooms have face mask and plant based products for shower and hair. They also provide you with robes and great socks. You can also cast your phone to the tv in case you want to stream. That was an awesome benefit.
The best part of this hotel was the close proximity to the Riverwalk! We were outside every morning walking up and down. Even though they had. A gym (kind of small), my wife and I managed to walk everyday on the RW and beyond.
We took the water taxi up to Chinatown and enjoyed great food at Hunan Cafe. Chinatown was really cool and had great walkability. Watch you time, the water taxi stops at a certain time.
Overall, the hotel was truly amazing and we will book again here

What a great hotel!!
Location is walking distance to everything.
Rate was very affordable for location, size of room and quality of hotel.
Customer service was top notch led by Antonio and Dion who were greeters/doormen/bell hops/ concierges and just super nice helpful guys.
The front desk staff were also very accomodating and helpful.
The rooms were very nice size ( we had two queens,) comfy beds huge TV and a great shower.
Room had this cool window nook or ledge that you could lay in ( or nap in) that looked out on the city.
64.00 a day to park your car valet ( it's parked off premise)which is even high for a big city. All hotels are the same price so it sounds like it's a typical Chicago scam deal. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay here again the next time we come to Chicago

Great centrally located hotel. I was able to walk everywhere during my stay in Chicago, including taking the Blue Line train from O'Hare to the Clark/Lake station and walking to/from the hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee machine and filtered water station in the lobby were very useful. Hotel rooms and lobby are very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Since the hotel is located right on the River, there is traffic noise throughout the day and night, however I imagine this is the case for all hotels in this central area. I was still able to sleep through the night. Maybe providing white noise machines would be helpful for very light sleepers (although the fan in the air purifying machine may do the job). Overall, I would stay here again!

Loved the room and the location. Valet allows in/out privileges and were fast. Staff were all friendly. Even though our room was on a busy street the room was quiet and we slept great. The sink water is filtered and the room had an air purifier. Definitely will be back!
