Had the pleasure of working with Josh on a 3-piece, dark green, custom suit for my wedding. The Kercher team had already delivered on a suit I ordered the year prior, and a couple custom shirts, so I already knew I was in great hands... but I was blown away by the wedding suit. Was able to collaborate on all aspects, had multiple fittings to ensure the fit was just right, and the suit was ready a week before our wedding date. Josh makes you feel very welcome and part of the process in a relaxed setting - I appreciate the work! another note... my father-in-law also got his suit from Kercher as well (see picture) and they nailed it

If you are someone who likes very nice things, but wants an at home feel, this is the place to be. KERCHER is not only an expert professional, he delivers an overall flawless experience from start to finish. From the moment you walk in his studio you are greeted as if you have been friends your entire life. The space is clean, modern and the smell….FANTASTIC. He doesn’t overwhelm you. He takes his time to explain, he listens and he delivers. While offering advice, he helps guide his clients in the direction that best suits them (pun intended). My fiancé is going to look next level in a custom tuxedo from KERCHER. We can honestly say his tailoring and attention to every detail is something that will make our special day even more special.

Great guy, genuine and chill, & very knowledgeable . He spent time explaining the types of fabrics/styles/cuts etc and made it easy.. Couldn't be happier , this is where you want your custom suit. Josh and his attention to details is what sets him apart . I'll def get a couple more suits after this one!

Kercher offers M2M, not "bespoke" suits.I walked into his studio last fall to purchase a "bespoke" suit. It quickly became clear that the service Josh was offering was not bespoke but "made to measure".During our fitting session, he took notes on what my preferences were: a two-piece, black suit with a ticket pocket and wide, low lapels (we regrettably didn't discuss gorge height). On the trousers, I specified that I preferred side adjusters as opposed to belt holes.Josh is a great salesman, and told me that his operation consisted of just him and his wife (which I later found out to be false - his suits are outsourced to their "master tailor").When my suit was finished and delivered, I was displeased to notice that few of my specifications were properly met. The trousers had belt holes instead of side adjusters, and the jacket did not have a ticket pocket. The gorge of the lapels was also lower than I would've liked but, again, we didn't discuss that during our fitting (a feature which surely would've been discussed at a proper bespoke clothier). Finally, the lapels hung at slightly different heights relative to the top buttonhole. When I pointed out to Josh that the side adjusters and the ticket pocket specifications had not been met, he "checked his notes" and told me that he would have his tailor fix the issues. Strange for a "bespoke" clothier. When I picked up my trousers and jacket the tailor, I noticed that the belt loops appeared to have been ripped off, leaving marks on the trousers where they had been. This makes the trousers look like they had been poorly altered (and certainly not created by a bespoke tailor). A shoddy ticket pocket had also been put on the jacket. The "master tailor" was also unable to make the pants fit properly. They look awful, like something off the rack. Not only did Josh evidently play no role in tailoring the suit, he did not attempt to remedy the situation in any meaningful way. While you might find a nice M2M suit at Kercher, if you're thinking about dropping money for a bespoke/custom suit, look elsewhere.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Josh Kercher design our suits for our wedding. We were really interested in doing something less traditional than you usually see at weddings and Josh helped us pick out gorgeous fabrics that we wouldn't have been confident enough to select with a less artistic designer. As a same sex couple, it was important for us to look like individuals (we definitely didn't want to wear the same thing) but we also needed to coordinate our looks. One wedding guest put it best when she told us we "looked like two jewels." It's so great that Chicago has someone like Josh, who has a great eye and isn't afraid to make bold statements. He was fun to work with, gave us options but helped us reign in our choices when we weren't sure what to do. We're so glad that we were able to get married in unique, fun, and perfectly fitted suits. If you're looking for something truly fashionable and want a suit that fits like a glove, go to Josh!

I've been in touch with Josh for a few years now. Prior to my wedding, we had him do the wedding suit, dress shirts, and a casual button up (all incredible). He also did a few garments for my in-laws and friends. I can't help but brag when I'm in his brand and can't help but tell everyone about him. The guy does flawless work and as good as he is, he actually cares about the way you look than you do. Love that and excited to head back in a few weeks for a few new additions. To see anything less than 5 stars, I have to assume it was an accident.

The best in town. I highly recommend to all my friends and family if they want a good looking suite, this is the to place in Chicago. While there is a lot of completion in the City, Josh's attention to detail, quality of product, and customer service is above all else. Client for life.

Josh Kercher stepped up when we were in a bind (the tailor we originally ordered my brother's custom suit from went MIA weeks before his wedding). Josh was able to provide the same custom suit my brother had his heart set on, but better & have it ready in our now crunch time. He had excellent communication & made the whole process effortless. His studio is absolutely amazing. He makes you feel like a million bucks, while maintaining a down-to-earth, approachable attitude. I highly recommend him to any grooms shopping for a custom suit for their big day. You won't be disappointed. Thank you, Josh!

10 stars, honestly. If you want to look good - I mean really, really good - then you need to go see Josh. This was my first time purchasing a bespoke suit - my experience with suit purchasing in general is limited to inexpensive, off-the-rock items from men's wearhouse / jos a bank / etc. While inexpensive (around $100 a jacket) - none of them fit or felt right and I realized I was just throwing money away if I didn't feel good wearing any of it. As a skinny guy finding suits / shirts that fit well has always been a challenge for me - that is, until now. I started researching bespoke suits online and found that there were a lot of options to choose from. I had a booked an appointment with one of the bigger providers out there when I came across KERCHER, read some of the reviews, and canceled my other appointment. I'm glad I did. Josh is an absolute pro and pleasure to work with. He's knowledgeable, transparent, and made the entire process extremely simple - from booking my first appointment to picking up my suit just now. I couldn't be happier with the final product - it's the best fitting piece of clothing I've ever owned, I absolutely love the way it feels and looks on me, and I'm blown away by how different it feels/looks compared to what's already in my closet. Don't make my mistake and throw away a ton of money on cheaply made, ill-fitted, off-the-rack suits that don't even look good. What I got from KERCHER was 100% worth every penny. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner, and I don't think I will ever buy another dress shirt or suit off the rack again. Thanks, Kercher!
