Single sheet of ice. Parking is horrible at this location. You might get a real tight door ding spot in the garage but if not good luck. Careful also. The tow trucks just hang out there to take cars away. There is a really small bar on the third floor where you spectate from. My son said the ice was not that good.

Always a fun time playing at Johnny's. Good competition. Fun when you play on the weekends and there is a decent crowd. Reasonably priced beer at the bar afterwords. Ice was a chippy but thats typical anywhere when it gets warm and there's still a lot of play

Ice is decently well kept. Locker rooms and such are beat up and way too small and the locker room bathrooms are always super wet. Bar is clutch and great for some pre- and post-game drinks.

Okay so I just found "Johnny's Ice House - west" but the real burning question is, WHAT GOES BEYOND THAT! Johnny's Ice House west of the west from that east but also north?"

This facility, like Johnny's Ice House West, has a single hockey rink with an elevated bleacher section and bar. There are two flights of stairs to get from ground level to the bleachers and one flight to get to the ice. The parking lot is cheap ($2) but small and street parking is pay only. It's a nice place to sit and watch a game or two.

If these walls could talk! Legendary hockey rink with a legendary bar. Have played here for 23 years and the culture is great!

Johnny’s Ice House - East is acommunity ice skating rink with a major hockey reputation. Never played here but get to visit once and a while. Spectators get to view the action from above. Therese even a local bar in the upstairs corner. Just enough room for an ice rink and place to watch. Downstairs is parking what a perk for the downtown Chicago location. When your done at Johnny’s ice house take a short walk to Palace grill.

I think the ice might be a little smaller than regulation but its barely noticeable. And the bar is pretty small compared to other ice rink bars I've been in but its still a place you can have fun and play hockey. It's clearly the older of the 2 Johnnys rinks
