I cannot write about the entire store experience as my friend and I were there specifically for yarn shopping. Unless I am missing something at other named craft stores when it comes to finding different yarn sizes, this store leaves no doubt as each section has a useful large number indicating the size above the bins. I do not always have my reading glasses handy so picking up various bundles to narrow down where I'm at is not fun. It's awesome to just look above and know if I'm in the write section or not. Thank you.

This fabric store is a joke. I went there looking for two different colors of threads to match my fabric. More than 2/3 of their thread inventory was missing from the shelves, so I was not able to match either color of thread that I needed. You would think that the flagship store in Chicago would at least keep their threads stocked up. They were also out of bobbins for my sewing machine. The manager of this store needs to seriously pay attention to their end of inventory.

This location is consistently shockingly filthy inside the store.
* The amount of dust and dirt on the floor and on the shelves is staggering.
* It is very common it has limited stock and what is available is often times not in their designated spot.
I know there's staffed shortages making recovery during business hours challenging, but more attention (if any) should be done after closing.
I don't sense that customer service and professionalism are of importance.
Unfortunately, today's customers play a role in this shopping experience by being inconsiderate of others by not putting items back where they belong.

Here's how your trip to the Joann location is gonna go:You walk past the armed guard on the way in. Weird. Kind of uncomfortable. But sure, maybe someone is ready to do a smash and grab for discounted floral arrangements. You walk past the picked over aisles. There are a couple cute things, but they're so expensive! But they're on sale, and you have a coupon, so you toss them in your cart.Once you finish, you make your way to the register. The store didn't seem busy, but there's a huge line! And only one person on the register. You consider leaving, but you've already picked stuff out, so you wait. The line goes slower than expected. It seems like everyone in front of you wants to argue about coupons. You make sure you have your coupons ready so you don't hold things up more. Finally, it's your turn at the register! The clerk rings you up, and then they scan your coupons. They don't work. The clerk tries them in a different order. They still don't work. Wait, everything was 10% off so you can't use your 50% off coupon! You pay more than you expected just to get out of there. On your way home, you swing by the Michaels a few blocks away and realize you could have bought nearly everything for way cheaper.

Staff unwelcoming and unhelpful. Had a pickup order, associate said if I didn’t get an email it wasn’t ready, understood, but there was no assistance after that. She went to stand by the cash register to do nothing. I walked around the store, returned to register when ready, she seemed annoyed and told me no one bought it up so I can wait. Then proceeded to stand and do nothing at the register that no one was checking out at.

80% off all Christmas items should mean 80% off. I understand that fabric is not included, but wrapping paper organizers? They were right underneath the 80% off sign. Come on. Once again met with a cashier who couldn’t care less. I think Michael’s has a good frame sale going on at least

I think the staff is suicidal. So depressed and unfriendly.. if you're missing someone to roll their eyes when you ask for a coupon, head on over!

I have been waiting for my order to ship since December 7th and all I keep getting is a notification of things that are not in stock and still no shipping date. They have cut off communication via chat and customer service hotline. You can send emails but they never get answered. This store is a total rip off and I will never buy/order anything from them again. I now have to dispute any charges via my bank. This type of customer service causes stores to close down, just ask Sears. Bate and switch is not how you attract customers. They have the nerve not to allow you to cancel your order!! You obviously don't have the items so give people they money back!!!

I made an order at the beginning of December. I have sent three emails tried to call with no response. They have now shut their phones to email only but they have not responded to any of my emails. The customer service is awful. I now have to dispute my charge with my bank. I have ordered from three different fabric stores and made three different blankets, and still have not received tracking from my order. I will never order from Joann again. Make sure to tell my friends and family the experience I have had.

This 5-star review is for Marilyn, who gave me lots of tips on using bonding web for appliqué. It was fun chatting about fiber art. Thanks so much!

Staff is helpful and the store has an array of different hobby supplies, from needle crafts to paints too baking. They also sell decorations for weddings, current holidays, etc. This store also has a custom framing department in I had an art project framed and they did a beautiful job. Be warned, however, it ain't cheap. Before the 70% off coupon, the cost would have been over $1k! $350 after coupon (which is still a lot to me). They also have off-the-shelf frames and shadowboxes, which will save you money.

They seemed to be missing most of the items I was looking for and inventory was low in most aislesThe store was noticeably filthy and the bathrooms were disgusting, dirty and covered in graffiti which is surprising for a craft store.
