This is the most inefficient jewel I've ever been to, specially during peak hours. During lunch, split lines at the hot food section in two. People avoid this one huge slow line and you lose sales. 2 faster lanes is more approachable. At night, I see staff standing around and cashier queues so long they span almost half the grocery isle. Plan for more shifts during these hours as well as retrain staff for checkout efficiency.

Very clean, well stocked, but always crowded due to proximity to the University, the Green line, and being in a proverbial food desert.
The parking lot is a mess in regards to layout. The checkout lanes are also poorly placed. The deli line is also highly inefficient.
Just know that if you shop here, you will usually find what you need, but everything else will be somewhat of an inconvenience.

I placed a grocery order, and after picking it up, I realized I was missing 13 items, which was over $72 worth of groceries. I immediately put in a refund request which later got denied. I then try calling to inquire about it, and all you get is the stupid robot/ai. You can't just talk to an actual person anymore, it's unbelievable. To say the least, I'm never gonna waste my time or money placing an order with Jewel ever again.

It's not enough cashiers working during busy times of the day. The lines get extremely long.

My normal Jewel is on S Stony Island. I'd say this one is a bit better - they had more items in stock and more complete sale tags. But I was looking for Jewel-branded chips from the weekly circular and couldn't find them at either location.

Placed a same day order catering order and Evette in the Deli Dept was very polite and SUPER helpful. I called to cancel shortly after and she thanked me cheerfully for calling back to notify her! Customers can be so demanding and to find someone who effortlessly uses grace is a blessing. I didn’t speak with the Kitchen Mgr but he/she squeezed me in! Customer service at its finest! Thank you!!!

Nice store with a variety of strange fruit and other items I would love to try! Always been my favorite store! As far as I can tell, it has not changed. There's no mask restrictions but people are still wearing mask. The typical busy of the after work crowd.

MYERA customer service is terrible. She is very disrespectful and caused a scene in front of customers. I will filing a complaint against her. One of the most ghetto jewels in the city. MYERA attitude sucks and doesn’t have any sort of professionalism. Never coming back to this location again.

Quick checkout. Great fruit options. The Deli line for the Jewel fried chicken was almost out the door. Mmm delicious! Go and see for yourself. One of my favorite Jewel stores.
