I just left this Jewel where I used my phone with a gift card and the casher went to grab my phone and then looked shocked when I instictually snatched my phone away. I told her she doesn't need to take my phone and she said sometimes it's easier to scan with the lighting. I still can't believe she got an attitude. Even if the lighting excuse is valid, then try ASKING me if you can hold my phone instead of acting like I have no rights to my own property!!! And while I'm at it, the manager from the other day who literally screamed THANK YOU at me and had everyone staring at me, the skinny little fella who wears glasses and always wears a black baseball cap and mask, who looks more like a bank robber than a manager and who claimed he didn't realize he screamed at me, next time I'll repay the favor and scream PLEASE and THANK YOU and see how you like being screamed at. Apparently my complaints are nothing but a joke to this Jewel. I swear to God, I never, ever, encounter this kind of unprofessional behavior at any other Jewel. I don't have a clue how these people keep their jobs. I guess to this one particular Jewel the customers are nothing but peasants to treat like garbage and feel they can because they're the only grocery store in close vicinity to the people who live in the neighborhood. The only good employees at this location are Manager Sonya, Cashier David, the manager who wears glasses and always has a 5:00 o'clock shadow beard, the cashier who wears glasses with grey hair, his name escapes me now, and the tall larger built Black manager. When I go to other Jewels I've noticed the other good employees have transferred over to the nicer Jewels.

Decent grocery store in the neighborhood. Never had any outstanding service or issues here, but I do strongly suggest hiring more cashiers. I don’t work here, and I am so sick of having to do self checkout where the light inevitably turns on and it takes several minutes to get someone’s attention.

Absolute worst customer service from cashiers at this location. It is closer to my house and that’s the only reason I visit this store. Today an incident happened when an African American cashier was absolutely rude and racist to me when I asked her I needed help finding a product which said it was in stock. She was shouting and yelling at me as I was loading items from my cart. No basic manners or whatsoever, she was gossiping and laughing while discussing this with the other cashier.
I am never visiting this store again. They need to hire better people.

It is a super good place to do a market, they have fresh products, as well as organic ones, and the environment is designed to find everything easily.

Jewel has nothing going for it. The prices are terrible, the stores are a disaster, produce isn't fresh. The only reason this and so many other complacent companies exist is simply due to market share. There is no value proposition for Jewel whatsoever other than maybe nostalgia for when it was actually a decent chain. I hope to God this merger fails spectacularly as the organization has done nothing to deserve the market share they hold. Lastly, what's up with stacking end caps to the registers? There's literally zero room up front with lines running down aisles, why crowd space with needless end cap junk?

As I work overnights, it is difficult for me to pick up beer for me & my friends before I fall asleep in the morning. Multiple times, I’ve called this store and employees have CONFIRMED that their beer/wine section opens at 7AM. However, I’ve tried twice to buy beer at 7-8AM only to be told the section “is gated until 10AM”. Please accurately define your beer & wine section’s hours (and ensure that’s when your employees actually open the gates). Please also update those hours on Uber Eats (which also confirmed alcohol begins selling at 7AM during weekdays, but my driver was said the section opens at 10AM)… I have spent CTA fares & Uber cancelation fees following your employees/Uber Eats displayed times of opening this section.

I don’t know what hiring manager hired Mandy for the front end but you did an amazing Job.
After a long day of work I sometimes stop there late and Mandy has been a breath of fresh air. She is always on point with the customers and just has this awesome personality. I haven’t ran into great customer service like that in some time. We need good people like this in Customer Service 10/10 Management Team. ?

A customer service associate at this Jewel was so rude. Just now, I bought my $1 donut, and I didn’t click anything saying that I will donate $5. I bought something for $1, why in the world would I donate $5.
He was so rude and accused me that I clicked the $5 donation, which I didn’t. I didn’t want to ruin my day, so I just laughed and left. Cause it’s ridiculous and can’t believe what I just heard. First I thought he was jesting, but he was actually serious and accusing me of doing whatever he thought.
Unfortunately, I didn’t got his name cause I was in shock. He was a white male. I am not very good at telling age, but definitely older than 50.
Anyways, not going back to this Jewel again.
