Jewel Osco does not offer Senior Citizen discounts at any Jewel's in the Chicagoland area and this is shameful. I made comments on social media last month and weeks later a Jeremy from Albertsons Customer Support Center emailed me to get further info, I never heard from anyone again. Senior discounts can be found at Caputo's and Centro Fresh.
I've had the Jewel home delivery service for over two years now. Due to my zip code, I get my delivery from this Jewel. In the last year, the produce quality has gone down hill, they continue to get orders wrong, the online ordering and the order they get at the store continues to be a challenge. The each and by pound is listed one way on the website, but then translates differently when the store gets the order which then results in me getting my order wrong. Regarding the produce, so many times I get wilted celery, bruised fruits, and bad vegetables. I do a credit when I call to notify them of this. I started adding detailed notes under the produce to provide me with FRESH vegetables. a customer should not have to do this. Now they changed the rewards program, you still get the points but they did away with the $5.00 monthly reward. When I have issues and call, the manager does provide a credit right away. Lastly, the pricing on the website does not always match the pricing in the store. While in the store I inquired about this and I was told that was intentional as Jewel is trying to get people to order more through their online service.
I might be switching to Caputo's.

MICHELLE ORTIZ is a complete RACIST.. She treated me so bad in front of CARMELA T as she admitted and witness that MICHELLE ORTIZ lacks customer service skills. She questioned me as if I was in the wrong. if you shop at Jewels you know that some adult beverages are in locked up in a cage. So as the guy ROZANO got the bottle out the cage. He said that’s price and it will be up front for you. So as I was checking out, they guy said it was another price. I showed him the picture that shows the price that it was listed at and said that I’ll have to go to customer service and they will override the price. So after speaking to CARMELA T she said that she will have to get another manager to over ride it. MICHELLE ORTIZ aggressively approached me and with out speaking first. She immediately says “I CANT GIVE YOU THIS ALCOHOL FOR THAT PRICE” I responded by saying that’s fine but that’s totally false advertising and item. The item was locked up in a cage and she mention that the top part of the sale tag was messing asking me what did I do with it but also asks me how did I get the sale tag which I never had, CARMELA T was the one that gave it to her and ROZANO was the one that gave it to CARMELA T. So make it make sense. ROZANO confirm with her that was tag where the item was in a LOCK CAGE. So to question me and accuse me without getting more information from your employees was completely wrong. I feel like I discriminated against due to me being a black male at jewels that have majority of white people. I will never shop here again.
