The pharmacy staff here is superior to any pharmacy I've used in Chicago. They went above and beyond to get me my asthma medication when i needed it urgently. You would have no clue how busy they really are because their compassion and excellent customer service make you feel like you are a priority. Plus you get 20% off your groceries after filling 5 prescriptions. I moved away and live walking distance to an Osco pharmacy in Oak Park but still go across town to this one on Western to fill my prescriptions.

Worst service ever! I went into the store this morning to purchase ant spray. When I walked in, a guy by the self-checkout counter told me it was in aisle 9. Went to aisle 9 and did not see it. I then walked up to another employee who was gossiping with a co-worker, and they just looked at me and kept talking. I said, excuse me... I need help locating the ant spray. The older lady replied and said aisle 10. I went to aisle 10 and no ant spray. I then went up to another employee who was talking to his co-worker, and they completely ignored me as I walked up. They looked at me and continued their conversation. Finally, I got irritated and interrupted them and asked where is the ant spray? The guy said aisle 8 and once again no ant spray. At this point, I am livid! NO SERVICE OR HELP WHATSOEVER! Everyone was too busy gossiping and chit chatting with one another. Finally, I went up to the pharmacy counter and exploded about the lack of service I am experiencing. The guy at the pharmacy came out of his counter and helped me locate where the ant spray was. I appreciated him doing so but the question is why are not all employees doing the same? And... you wonder why their rating is 2.5??When I got to work, I decided to call to speak with the store manager. To my surprise, the store manager I spoke with was the last employee who ignored me as I walked up. His name, I believe, was Cody. As I was talking to him... he said he remembered me, and he was busy talking with a customer. I told him, no you weren't. You were not talking with a customer; you were talking to your employee about her work hours. He was stunned because I caught him in a lie. His response was, of yeah... I apologize. Moral of the story... Managers have to lead by example. If your manager provides horrible service, so will your employees.

Decided to try this location again since I’m not a fan of Mariano’s, and there’s STILL expired products on the shelves! Some were OVER a month past! It’s pretty sad that I have to check EVERY item to make sure it’s still good before buying! Why is it so difficult for the employees to check the products when shelving at this location? ??

Came for the week's dinner plans for the house. Had to use the bathroom and it was in awful condition. Sunday, 1/8/23, 7pm. Can you hire someone to clean it? Is this anyone's job?

Not the best, not sure why some people take jobs if they can't stand being there. The store is rather poorly laid out and when you finally finish finding what you're looking for, good luck with the check out

I found 2 brand's of Asian coffee's in a can that are very good. 1st is a bubble version which actually has the black tapioca bubbles in the bottom of these cans. Really good coffee. The 2nd is the ucc brand in the two tone can wrapper that has a good tasting coffee too. If you want something different try these 2 coffee's in cans. Then I found my favorite chocolate on sale. When I'm making cookies to brownies, or add them to G.O.R.P. as a snack. Guittard great tasting chocolate.

This store doesn't honor the app deals that are featured in the ad. I have them uploaded in my app on my phone and got the variety of item that qualifies for the coupon, entered my customer phone number at the self checkout and unfortunately it does not register my coupons and charges me full price. I am upset with this. In these hard times I am trying to save money as much as I can and at other location I have no problem. I paid double for eggs, ruffles chips, and snuggle softener. I didn't go to customer service because it was also infuriating that there is no plastic bags at several of the self checkout stands and you have to call the attendant to get some. I didn't challenge my concern to customer service because they would blame me for not uploading the coupons when they already are uploaded. I upload them first thing when the new week ad drops in the app. I didn't go return items because I hate to see it get wasted and not sure how it will affect my rewards but this is so other customer be aware of this stores sketchy money tactics.

I spoke with Todd, not sure if he is one of the managers, and he was super helpful. My daughter got towed, which ended up being from a different Jewel, and he was very helpful going through the tape from the day it happened and took the time to look to see what happened.

I don't think any of the employees are happy working here. At the self checkout, there's one employee (older women with tats) that is not very friendly. She rolls her eyes and chats with other employees. When you need help, they don't speak. I even sarcastically apologized for asking for help. Their response was, that's ok.

Like I promise, I went back to jewels with all my groceries which was just the baby food. Immediately when I went inside and walked to the customer service desk, I ask for Steve Palmer The utility bagger tells me what for? So, I ask again! She tells why! Crazy, I had to explain to her? I had a incident last night. I need to speak to the manager I said, she gets on the phone to call for assistance, the customer service comes behind with a attitude telling me, why do you need to see Steve Palmer. I tell her I need to speak to him. He finally shows up, same judgement. Looking me up and down Wondering why would he needs to speak to me. Funny. So, I tell him the whole incident. At first he listened to what I had said, basically almost disregarded my complaint. I immediately ask for a refund for the all the item I paid for! He tells me if I have a receipt????? I tell him YES!!!! He finally realized to a point of change of heart, they where wrong they way they treated me, a paying customer! He refunded me and told me to keep all the groceries and told me would he would retrain the individual Claudio. Also, told me me and my family are welcome to come back! I left with tears and still felt humiliated. I'm decisive if I will be returning to this store because of one bad apple.

In the area at the time, I visited solely to pick up a pack of BUBBL'R Antioxidant Sparkling Water, a drink I purchase regularly from another Jewel-Osco location. In the past, I visited this location for banking reasons at its TCF Bank branch (now Huntington Bank), but never really shopped here until now. This location appears smaller than other locations, but still has all of your needs. It has its own section of parking on top of it being located within Roscoe Square, a shopping center where there are other businesses which include a Mariano's. Roscoe Square is certainly one of those shopping center's where you can complete a singular series of actions within a short timeframe. Call me a n**** but I also think that it is so cool that Jewel-Osco locations have Redbox locations outside. Looking for items I usually buy, I loved that this location had V8 Sparkling Energy drinks in stock, a favorite of mine that is no longer at the Jewel location I frequent at. What this location didn't have was a hot bar which could be because a hot bar requires attention throughout the day that they may not be able to give. As a vegetarian I just had to take a stroll down the aisle to see what plant based options were in stock which surely was not a let down. Jewel-Osco is my go-to for Amy's Kitchen frozen food meals which are plant based meals I have grown to love as a vegetarian. I found three of my favorites which are the vegetable lasagna, veggie loaf, and the more recently discovered country cheddar bowl. I was also amused amidst my encounter with a Tofurky meal which comes with roast, stuffing and gravy. As a vegetarian I am intrigued to find out what it tastes like which could very well give me an option to eat for Thanksgiving. The atmosphere was very calm and pleasant from the time I walked through the door, as I shopped, and while checking out. The cashier that assisted me was respectful even though the interaction was very average with just a confirmation of whether I wanted my things bagged as well as a receipt. All in all, I had a pleasant experience shopping at this Jewel-Osco location. Not only did I find what I needed, but also found products I had been looking for. ~Blessings~ Thomas G
