Each line in this store had at least 12 people waiting for a cashier to ring them up and the cashier had to bag their groceries. The "do it yourself " line had at least 20 to 25 people waiting. How terrible is this? It's awful!

Why is the 35th street Jewel the worst Jewel in the city of Chicago? It is a disgrace and has been for years. All the sales people stay in combat mode, especially Mario in produce. He was rude and sarcastic when asked about all the lettuce that was due to expire in a few hours. He blamed it on management. It's a shame that I have to drive to the 95th and Stony's Jewel to get quality food and outstanding service. Mario needs to take a page from their playbook and be retrained. The Jewel on 35th is an embarrassment to the hardworking people in our community. And Mario leads the pack. I cringe when I have to go into Jewel. So many people complain. They say, its the worst Jewel, but nothing is ever done to improve it.To the Jewel management, shame on you! I'm glad Marianos is not far or I will continue to drive to 95th & Stony for the best Jewel in the city. Jewel on 35th is the worst an continues to be an embarrassment to everyone in our community!The citizens deserve much better and its very obvious that Jewel-Osco Corporate has absolutely no interest in ensuring that the customers in my community are receiving value, variety and a friendly face that is always here to help. Isn't that your motto from your 120-year legacy. Well, not for the 35th street Jewel, that's for sure!

The Cashiers are very unfriendly. I speak to them when I come up to the counter and they do not speak back. They have a very nasty attitude. This happened on several occasions with different Cashiers. It seems they were trained that way. I smiled at the lady behind the Deli counter and she frowned. Very poor customer service. Usually the employees are supposed to greet you first.

GHETTO! Each time I visited this Jewel I've had or witness a terrible experience. Who conducted the interviews? Well, in today's news, the 5 staff members behind the deli counter today (which was so disheveled) decided to take their time and while 2 ppl took one person's order the other 3 sat in the back playing and joking on each other. The one guy with the classes thought we came for a comedy show because he kept dropping everything and then say little snide jokes as the line of 3 reached to door. Because two staff members decided to take one person's order instead of helping the lady who stood in line 20 minutes it cause the two customers to feud. It's a shame THIS Jewel is like this unlike in other neighborhoods. The staff is unfriendly as well. Like they don't want to work, and this is the for deli counter.

Horrible! Horrible!! Management andvCashiers are rude and incompetent. Customer service is not a priority. The worst Jewel-Osco experience I have ever had.,If I could give less than one star I would. Consumers beware. Do Not Shop There.

Mostly I do not buy from Jewel because I know the bad service from them , I buy from them because for a comvience . Again They provide terrible customer service in the the self-pay area. The black lady.

Audrie worked in the 15 items or less kiosks area yesterday on 1/4/2023 around 5-6pm. She went that extra mile which is very rare in Customer Service nowadays. I purchased some Ziplock bags that were on clearance...well suppose to be. Unbeknownst to me they weren't! I didn't even notice it. Audrie was paying attention and came over, she said someone earlier was over charged. So she fixed it and saved me $7. Thanks a bunch Audrie!!
