I took the chair class from Jeff in 2005. I was an experienced furniture maker at that time, but he taught me so much. Even showed me some problems I hard with tool sharpening, and corrected me. He introduced me to a whole new level of precision in my woodworking. Yes, I learned how to build chairs, but I learned so much more about joinery and fabrication. Thank you, Jeff. Mike C Plano, TX

Jeff's contributes to the world of fine woodworking in many ways. His furniture is artistically crafted. His articles in Fine Woodworking Magazine are informative & complete. His shop is fully equipped with quality tools. Many are hand tools for there are few straight lines in his creations. Personally I've found his talent as an instructor to be inspirational. The friend who recommended taking one of his classes said "you will feel like you're the only one in the class". i rook one class, & understand it is true.

I'm not much of a yelper, but i do want to echo the comments of the most recent poster. I've dealt with Jeff for years. I purchased our dining room table, two rockers, a chest of drawers, all the beds in our house and many other pieces from Jeff. Most of his pieces are made to order to reflect the individual buyer's taste. It's unfortunate that another poster felt they had a bad experience. Jeff is one of the best and best-known chair makers in the country and buying a custom piece is an experience I highly recommend. I can also recommend taking a woodworking class with him -he is exceptionally knowledgeable and patient and you'll leave with a piece from your own hands that is up to Jeff's exacting standards.

I could not disagree with the previous post more. Jeff has built a number of pieces for us, including an entire bedroom set, and we could not be happier with his work, which is impeccable, or his ability to listen and exceed our expectations. I recommend his work highly.
