Popped in with an earring issue, after having it replaced at the other location. Though I've had multiple piercings done at Ashland, I didn't feel especially welcome there, which is why I tried Belmont to fix the issue. Chris was fantastic! He could not have been nicer or more patient in handling the earring and answering my questions. The shop has a huge selection, and a pleasant salesperson showed me a few pieces I was interested in. Overall, a great experience - I had written Identity off but Belmont changed my mind, thanks!

Went to get a 3 month old piercing (that I got at another location) looked at because it felt like it wasn’t healing properly, compared to other piercings I have. The experience was great, from talking to the people at the front to picking my new jewelry to getting a new piece of jewelry put in. Everyone was very kind and full of knowledge. Chris was my piercer, but I wish I had gotten everyone’s names. Will definitely go back to this location for future piercings.

I took my 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. Both piercers we interacted with were very professional and very kind to my daughter, and we didn’t have any issues with the piercing itself. The reason I’m rating 3 stars is because they did not communicate that the earring that they use is not one that can be easily taken out at home, and that you have to come back and pay an extra fee to get it taken out. In hindsight I might have gone somewhere that doesn’t require two visits + two service fees.

I had the most wonderful experience here recently and I would recommend this place to anyone! LaRae, Rita and Chris were all so helpful and friendly and PATIENT because it took me forever to decide what I wanted but I love the final result and it’s all thanks to them. I will absolutely be back! And it’s worth noting that their cleanliness and sanitation is off the charts! The place is absolutely spotless! Thanks again!

Rita is AMAZING! As a newbie to cartilage piercings, she legitimately saved my life when mine got a little out of hand. She is very thorough with her explanations and made me feel at ease with step by step instructions. Can't thank her enough for making the healing process feel less daunting!

Had my septum pierced by Ian who was incredible!!! I was full of nerves and they had great bedside manner and patience. The check in and jewelry selection was easy. The piercing process itself was smooth and they explained everything clearly. Will definitely be back. Thanks again!

Rita was awesome. Probably the best piercer I’ve gone to. Very calm, very kind, and very informative. She explained the entire process before she did anything and insisted I check the mirror before and after she pierced my nose to make sure I liked it. I would definitely go back to Rita if I get anymore piercings in the future.

Wonderful shop! Friendly and approachable staff and the shop is very nicely designed and very inviting. Amber and Chris were wonderful helping me to pick out the jewelry that I liked, but that also complemented each other and my existing pieces. They also have a very large selection of pieces to choose from at all different price levels for all budgets. I highly recommend Identity and will be back again in the future.

The shop is okay. I stopped in because I wanted to get a new piercing. I've only ever been pierced at one place in Chicago, and that's Insight Studio, which has done great work; my other piercings are from my hometown in Oregon so until I go back home that place is out of the question. I have been to the other location of Identity Body Piercing to buy new jewelry but I've never been pierced by them. I came to the Roscoe Village location because I knew they had a larger selection of jewelry. This location is easily twice the size of the Wicker Park store. It's really beautiful inside.I like that Identity will pierce you with whatever jewelry you wish, rather than only allowing you to do the basic CZ that you have to come back and get swapped out. But I ended up not getting a piercing here. The one I wanted I was told they wouldn't be able to do because of my ear anatomy, but when I first was looking into this piercing a year or so ago I'd planned to do it elsewhere and that person said it shouldn't be a problem. So since I didn't have a ton of time to wait around anyway I figured I'd get a second opinion.The area of RV that this shop is in has good street parking, at least as it seemed when I visited around 1 pm on a Saturday. The parking on Belmont is free, which is an added bonus. If you're looking for a nice piece of jewelry and don't want to shop online, Identity has a large selection and lots of beautiful sparkly things.

I truly enjoy coming here for all of my piercing needs. They have an extensive display of beautiful quality jewelry and the staff is very knowledgeable. The studio itself is stunning and very clean. I always feel comfortable coming here with any questions. I've bought a few pieces from here and loved them all. I also bought a gift for a friend and they loved it. Highly recommend Identity!

Went it for a septum piercing right before walk-in times closed. Quick and easy process to set up the walk-in appointment. Front desk employee asked if it was my first piercing and showed me the styles/colors/sizes of available septum rings.Wait time for pretty short. My piercer was Chris who was extremely nice and helpful! After talking to him and getting his and my friend's recommendations, we switched from a 16 gauge to a gold 14 gauge.The actual piercing took no time at all. No pain, no issues, and the updated choice was perfect. I was walked thru keeping it clean and the healing process. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! Can't wait to go back to change out the ring once it fully heals and get additional piercings.

What a fantastic experience! The boutique is gorgeous, jewelry selection is great, the staff was so friendly, helpful, and even considerate of cost. The space pristine throughout. Today I had jewelry changed on a part of my body that can be awkward to show a stranger, but I felt so comfortable at Identity. This place is dedicated to personalized artistic adornment & i can’t wait to go back!
