“This Menards location is a pretty solid home goods and construction goods mainstay, but some weird and lackluster organization means you could be stuck with a challenge when it comes to finding even simple things. The overall depth of inventory is good though, and if you aren’t too picky - you should be able to find what you need at reasonable prices.
Staff were very helpful and knew how to navigate the store, but don’t expect a renaissance handyperson with 30 years of experience.
Also you can’t buy spray paint apparently? Chicago quirk, but worth noting. Plentiful parking - that’s a good feature too.”
“The AKB team is just top-notch. In late 2020, they redesigned two bathrooms and a kitchen for me. The end results were incredible! They were fun to work with, supportive along the entire process from design, manufacturing, and installation. And when there were elements involved that they did not sell (fixtures, appliances, etc.) they helped with referrals to others in the area that they had great working relationships with.I sold the condo they helped me re-design earlier this year, and I miss it everyday! I look forward to the day we renovate our house, just to work with the AKB team again.”

Although I’ve seen a clear staffing shortage and a lack of knowledge in the employees over the last few years. The new Ap can locate the goods you on the shelves and I can just Google if I need to know something. Thumbs up!”

GREAT PRICES, pretty good quality (never had anything break but some occasional rust which is expected). Hardware managers are good with finding the right screws and bolts to fit. Just bring in the example parts and they will match!”
